On October 15th every year, 4201 schools celebrate White Cane Day! 🦯
This is an important day of awareness and celebration of the white cane as a symbol of independence for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

This year also marks the 75th anniversary of @WFDeaf_org and 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
2/2 - Education is a fundamental right for everyone, and multilingual education, which includes sign language and deaf-led learning environments, ensures every child has the opportunity to learn and grow. 🤟

We had a change of scenery for this month's 4201 Association board meeting! School leaders from throughout the state gathered at the beautiful and historic @SJSDNY in the Bronx on Friday.
