Day one of the main #AMCPNexus program brought big questions into practical focus: Is an organization ready for AI? How should patient experience shape coverage? What can real-world data tell us now? The answers were not confined to the stage. They continued through the Expo Hall, poster discussions, LINK interest group roundtables, and new professional connections.

Posters at #AMCPNexus are not passive displays. Today’s presentations and moderated tours opened direct conversations about AI-assisted evidence review, drug pricing, anti-obesity medication access, and pharmacist-led cost containment.

The #AMCPNexus Expo Hall is open. It's one of our largest Nexus conference with 50+ booths to explore! Exhibits, posters, Spotlight sessions, and informal conversations give attendees a place to compare approaches, question assumptions, and connect new ideas in managed care pharmacy to the work waiting for them at home.
Research is literally our middle name!
AMCP Research Institute turns evidence into action. Our research helps bring CLARITY to managed care pharmacy decision-makers to improve patient outcomes, strengthen practice and shape policies that affect how millions of Americans access and afford medications.
As the research engine behind AMCP, we generate rigorous, unbiased evidence that informs advocacy, professional practice, education, payer engagement and the future of managed care pharmacy.

#AMCPNexus is officially underway. In the Opening General Session, physician-scientist and bestselling author Dr. Eric Topol will examine how artificial intelligence, genomics, digital health, and precision medicine are reshaping health care. His perspective will frame a meeting focused on making sense of rapid change and translating innovation into better decisions for patients and the health care system.
At #Nexus2026, AMCP Foundation President Summerpal Kahlon highlighted the Foundation’s role in building that future:
“At the AMCP Foundation, our mission is to advance insights and develop leaders who will shape that future.”
Through research, education, and opportunities to develop the next generation of leaders, the AMCP Foundation is investing in the future of the profession. The future of managed care pharmacy depends on the people we prepare to lead it.

The future of medication value isn't one-size-fits-all. In a new Healthcare Brew story, AMCP’s Mitzi Wasik brings a managed care pharmacy perspective to the growing conversation around value-based pharmacy payment models.
"There are many ways a value-based pharmacy contract can be structured. The parties involved in these agreements are often insurers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), pharmaceutical manufacturers, or pharmacies themselves, though not all are involved in every contract."
