Confirmed Dural Arteriovenous Fistula!
4 different arteries in my brain have connected to one of my venous sinuses, causing blood to flow backwards through the sinus, wreaking havoc in my brain, and completely blocking off the jugular vein on one side.
Insanity!
This summer, I developed a new symptom: pulsatile tinnitus, where I hear a whoosh that aligns with my heartbeat in my left ear.
With a lot of self-advocacy, I was able to get the ENT to order scans of the vessels in my head/neck instead of trying Flonase for a month.
But scary anyway & uncertain about long term effects after my brain has endured this for so long.
So, prayers, good thoughts, referrals, insights, etc are welcome. I miss engaging with this community & hope to return with my revitalized brain soon. ❤️🙏🧠
Grateful to be alive and to have found this out. Explains so much.
Doctor thinks it should be treatable through embolization through various arteries.
Thank you for the good wishes!!!!

I’ve been out of circulation for several years now dealing w/serious health issues after having a major neuro flare in March 2024.
Though I’ve collected many hodgepodge diagnoses since, there hasn’t been a unifying explanation.
I think that’s where we are right now in the US — a Zone of Residual Legitimacy.
Occupiers of government positions are trading on the legitimacy that was earned over time by predecessors to transform the govt back into a monarchy & personally benefit themselves.
As the Supreme Court finally reposes *all* power in the Presidency, will be interesting to see if they disband Congress or keep it as a zombie figurehead to playact separation of powers.
With the opportunities for self-enrichment that come from the role of Supreme Court justice, I suppose it’s unlikely they’d disband. Better to keep the afterglow of democracy & exploit the residual power.
