9th out of 209 teams. Solo. An incredible result and great to hear the no-LLM rule made the CTF feel like old-school CTFing again. Huge credit to the @sk8boardingdog crew for building such a strong competition this year.
I played skateboarding dog CTF 2026 alone and placed 9th out of 209 teams! I'm so glad a no-LLM rule was enforced; it's the closest I've last felt to playing CTFs in the pre-LLM era. Thanks to @sk8boardingdog and @BSidesCbr for holding this great event! hackmd.io/@fsharp/S1I4k-HqGe

Congrats @EmuExploit on 3rd place in the BSides Canberra CTF! A close battle right to the end. These legends donated last year’s CTF winnings to our Assistance Program, helping others get to BSides this year. Thanks for being such a great part of our community! 💙💙
🥉 3rd in BSides Canberra CTF! 🥉 Thanks to @sk8boardingdog for hosting and @BSidesCbr for the con. And of course @FrenchRoomba and SoberOstrich for the close competition. See you next year.

Talk yesterday, tooling already released. Justin’s presenting his timing attacks research at BSides Canberra yesterday, and tturl is now open source. Very cool work from @justinsteven and @TantoSecurity
There's still some novel attack vectors that are only being operationalised now. @justinsteven is presenting on his research on timing attacks at @BSidesCbr today, and has released tturl as open source! github.com/tantosec/tturl - Justin/Tanto have put a lot of work into this.
