🚨 Career Announcement 🚨
Yesterday morning was my first on the Pitt beat, starting a new role covering Panthers football — and in the winter, basketball — for @PghSportsNow and @On3, after over five years writing about high school sports for the Butler Eagle.
Thanks to @mvukovcan for the opportunity. I’m proud to be able to report on a Power 4 college program with a such a rich history.
If you follow me for my #Steelers work, don’t worry. I’ll still be working alongside @ASaunders_PGH over there, too.
#Pitt RB Damon Ferguson Jr. has made sure the Panthers' ground game hasn't skipped a beat with the injured Boosie Turner.
That might not even be where he's most valuable to Pat Narduzzi's team. Read:

#Pitt's Chase Foster has made quite the first impression tonight:

#Browns DE Jared Verse's stat line on Sunday: 1 tackle
#Steelers rushing yards on Sunday: 200
And still, somehow Verse didn't regret poking the bear:

#Steelers WR Michael Pittman Jr. talked about the injury he's been dealing with and his hopeful timeline on Monday morning:

“Howe It Happened” isn’t your run-of-the-mill postgame #Steelers story. Alan and I gather a lot in the locker room and it gets weaved together with a storytelling focus.
Check it out to see things from a different perspective:
The #Steelers heard Jared Verse yap for most of the week. When the pads came on Sunday, the #Browns DE was shut up — and dropped on his head in the process:
"What can you say when you're down 27-6 or whatever the score was?"

Brendan Howe retweeted
Jaquan Brisker on Jared Verse’s trash talk earlier in the week prior to the Steelers topping the Browns 27-6
“He should have kept his mouth shut. All that talk, and then to come out with 0 tackles, that’s bad.”
“He’s gotta look at himself in the mirror and get better.”
Jared Verse definitely went to his #Browns teammates and told them he said something to Cam Heyward here, right?
