New month, new website? Starting today, cartesi.io/ has a fresh look, rebuilt around what matters right now: a cleaner layout, simpler navigation, and a direct answer to what Cartesi is and where it's headed in tech and strategy. What you'll find ↓

Your AI agent already knows Linux. That's half of building with Cartesi.

Landed in Mumbai today. See you all tomorrow! I’ll be sharing early invites for @knoss_xyz. Looking forward to meet market makers, defi builders, traders and anyone who likes to stay ahead in defi product launches. DMs are open!
If you're going to DevCon Mumbai, let's catch up! I'm Shaheen, DevRel at @cartesiproject. This time around I'll be representing @knoss_xyz - an onchain options and other derivatives exchange being built on Cartesi Rollups. If you love the idea of bringing complex derivatives onchain, let's chat. DMs open to schedule ☕️ devcon.org/ticket/Shaheen/mv…

ICYMI: The Cartesi Foundation proposes permanently renouncing the MinterRole on the $CTSI token contract. If approved, no new CTSI can be minted, fixing supply at 1B. Any future CTSI-funded initiatives would use existing tokens. Weigh in before the vote: governance.cartesi.io/t/new-…

gm. A new month, another reminder that developers shouldn't have to leave their favorite tools behind to build onchain. Keep your Linux stack. Bring it to Ethereum.

October brought a lot to catch up on: a $CTSI MinterRole consultation as staking rewards end ~July 2027, new Node, CLI, Sequencer, and Machine releases, the Q3 Engineering Report, the Foundation backing @knoss_xyz, and more. All treats, no tricks ↓ blog.cartesi.io/ecosystem-up…

Throwback Thursday to the simplest version of our thesis: the software that powers the world should power smart contracts too. Still true, still building ↓
Linux is the world's most used OS, and our #VM enables developers to create smart contracts with #Linux and any of the software that powers the world today. #Cartesi: 👉 We're bringing all mainstream developers to blockchain 👉 Taking smart contracts to the next level $CTSI

Two Cartesi Foundation updates for stakers and $CTSI holders: → a notice on the Mine Reserve’s remaining lifecycle (staking rewards) → a proposal to permanently renounce the MinterRole on the CTSI token The first is a notice, the second a 21-day consultation before a vote 🧵↓

3/ Part 2: A proposal to permanently renounce all MinterRole permissions on the existing $CTSI contract. If approved and executed, no further CTSI could be minted. $CTSI’s supply would be permanently capped. Any future CTSI-funded initiatives would rely on existing tokens.

4/ Community input requested for Part 2. Because this is irreversible, the proposal starts with a 21-day consultation period for feedback. Your input matters. A vote for or against will follow the consultation. Join the discussion here: governance.cartesi.io/t/new-…

It’s Friday, so here comes your Cartesi Weekly 🐧 Work has progressed on our PRT fraud-proof system, and Dave v3.0.0-alpha.6 is out as a new deployment generation. An honest player’s clock now refills (up to a cap) each time they win a sub-dispute. That means attackers can’t use a flood of fake identities to run out the clock on a correct claim. The release also fixes a finding from the latest PRT verification review and works with Cartesi Machine v0.22. As always, props to @GCdePaula_ for shipping it: → github.com/cartesi/dave/rele… Over on the staking side, Explorer v3.13.0 went live. It moves to a new wallet library and adds transaction receipts for anyone using Explorer as a Safe App, which helps if your stake sits in a multisig. Kudos to @brunolmenezes: → github.com/cartesi/explorer/… Short on time for the full Q3 Engineering Report? The tl;dr thread walks through 130 merged PRs, 673 commits, and 58 releases across 13 repos, sorted by the three technical pillars. Two highlights: deposit refunds close the last gap in emergency withdrawals, and Cartesi Machine v0.21.0 makes every input end in a provable outcome, even when the app crashes. Summary here: → teapaw.org/cartesiproject/status/… This week was Open Access Week. Research should be free to read, share, and build on, and so should code. Cartesi is open source and brings Linux onchain with Ethereum settlement, so anyone can check the results for themselves. → teapaw.org/cartesiproject/status/… The timeline had opinions this week too. If your stack won’t let you build with Linux onchain, it ain’t the one: → teapaw.org/cartesiproject/status/… And a reminder to stop designing around an L1 EVM’s single block of compute, shared by every app. Switch to Cartesi for orders of magnitude more compute, a full Linux stack, and a dedicated VM for each app: → teapaw.org/cartesiproject/status/… That’s the week. Building something with Linux onchain, or just want to say hi? Come find us on Discord: discord.gg/cartesi. Enjoy the weekend!
Let’s stop designing around the dot. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

Why most DeFi can’t deliver real innovation? Yellow dot? L1 EVM block compute limit. Devs compress logic into one block and ship simplified finance. Blue squares? Cartesi VM. Orders of magnitude more computational capacity. Once you see the gap, you can’t unsee the constraint.
