this is a great service and I hope other larger companies out there on the cloud infra side would help shoulder some of these costs, it’s unfair to startups who were doing things for the public good

pre-AI dev tools startups put huge amounts of money, time, and energy into free and public web tools, and they're being brutally punished for that Everyone knows about @github's downtime and massive PR volume growth. @StackOverflow. And we @sourcegraph have maintained an OSS search index (sourcegraph.com/search) for over a decade, but agent/bot scraping just climbs every month. I just got pinged about another resourcing issue There's so little incentive to do this anymore, and the whole dev ecosystem is worse off for it We're committed to keeping our index alive. And 🫡 to GitHub for what they do
