Some of the best opportunities for growth and innovation happen when we look beyond our own walls and learn from one another! Our @BrowardSchools team recently visited two exceptional Palm Beach County schools: Plumosa School of the Arts and Dreyfoos School of the Arts. These visits reinforced an important belief: Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation! There is tremendous value in exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and learning across district boundaries. A huge thank you to Principals Rhonda Smith and Blake Bennett and their incredible teams for their hospitality and commitment to excellence in arts education! Different districts. Shared purpose. Endless possibilities. 🎭🎨 #InnovateBroward #MagnetSchools #ArtsEducation @Dillard_HS @pmsotamagnet @officialPlumosa @DreyfoosSOA @Ronda_Johnson

Innovation takes many forms — and across Broward County Public Schools, it is creating distinctive opportunities for students right in their neighborhood schools. Today, we brought together our Innovative Program principals from across the district for an energizing morning of collaboration, best-practice sharing, and thoughtful conversation about how we continue strengthening and elevating these programs. Our schools offer an incredible range of theme-based experiences — from STEM, aviation and aerospace to cybersecurity, Sports Academy, AI, entrepreneurship, technology, the arts, environmental science, and more — giving students opportunities to connect their learning to their interests, talents, and future aspirations. One of the greatest strengths of this work is bringing leaders together to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and build upon the great work already happening across our schools. A huge thank you to Coral Springs High School for hosting us and providing such a welcoming space for today’s collaboration. We’re excited about what’s ahead as we continue building the identity, quality, and impact of Innovative Programs across BCPS.

Strong programs continue to evolve and great ideas grow through connection and collaboration. Today, our secondary PVA Magnet teams from Dillard 6–12 & Parkway Middle had the opportunity to visit our neighbors to the south at New World School of the Arts along with our District team to observe exemplary practices and gather new ideas as we continue building on the strong PVA experiences across BCPS. 🎭🎨 Grateful for their generosity in sharing their expertise and practices, and to Dr. Toomer for the vision that helped spark this opportunity. #WherePassionMeetsPurpose #BCPSMagnets @InnovateBroward @BCPSCentral @Dillard_HS @pmsotamagnet
