Do people get it now why so many of us on the Right are permanently mistrusting of Church leadership when it comes to race issues?
Samuel Sey is a Ghanaian whose family fled to Canada, and then married an American… and within a YEAR or two of coming to America on a temporary visa, he lectures natives on “racism” in the church and tells us he is just as American as we are (while not even having the decency to take his time in the legal citizenship system). He even called in a FAKE bomb threat, which he blamed on “kinists” in the American Church.
His unremarkable takes are then immediately seal-clapped for by church leaders, and then boosted by Con Inc talking heads, all in an effort to put down Real Americans; not to lift up the Church.
I hope his departure to Canada or Ghana or wherever is uneventful and safe; and that maybe if he’s listening to the Spirit, he’ll take some time to learn the humility required of God by teachers (and maybe he’ll do the wise thing and step away from public leadership for a long time).
But this is only the latest in a long line of episodes in American Church leadership continually mishandling the clash of Races, Cultures, and yes, Religions, in our society; and until some of them are mature enough to discuss these issues like adults, there’s really no reason to heed their lectures on the subject.
They’re wrong too often to be trustworthy, and that’s lamentable.
I have received a statement from DHS regarding Sam Sey:
“On October 21, ICE arrested Samuel Sey, an illegal alien from Ghana, at the Columbus International Airport. Sey entered the United States legally in 2022 but overstayed his length of admission by over four years, in violation of our nation’s laws. Sey has no pending applications and accepted voluntary departure. He will remain in ICE custody until removed from the United States.
“We do not pick and choose which laws to enforce or where to enforce them.
“We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App. The United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now. We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return.” - DHS SPOX
As I get more information, I will update.
So, according to DHS, Samuel Sey is a criminal illegal alien from Ghana (not Canada) who overstayed his entry in America by four years with no record of reapplication.
If this is true, it produces a wave of problems. Not only was this sinfully negligent as a man, husband, and father but he committed this national crime while mocking and slandering American nationalists.
Imagine the nerve required, to be an illegal African migrant and walk into a foreign country (the United States) and mock heritage Americans for wanting to maintain their historic national ancestry.
If his church knew of his illegal status, they must also repent. In fact, according to Federal law, it is a felony to knowingly harbor or conceal an illegal alien in a church or business. If his church didn't know, he must repent for deceiving them. Lastly, ecclesiastically speaking, any money raised should also be contingent upon his repentance.
In the U.S., Christians must uphold that America is for Americans. So, if this report is true, Samuel must repent for disrespecting our home. If he is deported to Ghana, I hope he finds a great place where he and his family can preach Christ crucified and save the souls of the people and place he claims to love so much.
To be clear, I really do hope the best for Samuel. I even hope there’s a reasonable explanation. But I also have much confidence in the United States Department of Homeland Security. We must remember that explanations or misunderstandings still do not nullify crimes. You may not know the speed limit was 45mph while doing 65mph. You may not have known a particular filing was required. It does not excuse the crime because as a driver or a migrant, you were responsible for knowing.
May the Lord be glorified in all of this.
