First Scoop: OpenAI is buying Google's AI chips.
It's a big win for Google’s TPU chip business, which is a growing challenger to Nvidia. Also follows Oracle, which today said it would buy and rent out TPUs to customers.
Talk to Barwick, folks!

Five more thoughts on the Anthropic IPO axios.com/2026/10/27/anthrop…
Wonder if the Day 1 retail run on Anthropic won't mirror SpaceX, given how burned a bunch of those investors got. In other words, smaller pop.
There's been some talk about why Spark Capital is the only VC firm mentioned in the Anthropic filing. It's ot because Spark has 5% -- it doesn't -- but rather that it has a board director (i.e., related party).
Kind of remarkable comment for someone who's had homes in both Provincetown and the Hamptons.

$ANT filing includes very little about conversion prices, preference stacks, etc in its financing rounds. Save for some stuff about Spark Capital, because it has a director/related party.
Upshot is that it's hard to know VC/strategic ROI just based on topline valuations.
Anthropic to investors: Trump hates us so much axios.com/2026/10/26/anthrop…
I wrote in newsletter that the $ANT IPO will be viewed as a referendum on the business of AI.
But that doesn't mean it SHOULD be viewed that way. This is one company -- yes, a big one w/ lots of counterparties -- but it's still just one company and one securities offering.
Claude says Anthropic's IPO is a buy. ChatGPT disagrees axios.com/2026/10/26/claude-…
