This is *easily* my least favorite picture of all time. By a mile.
My dad was nervous but still so eager and confident to fight cancer. He was never given a fair shot and was gone 16 days later.
Today is the anniversary of that brutal farewell.
Most likely an indicator that Kyle Monangai is not yet ready for action.
The #Bears have elevated RB Salvon Ahmed from the practice squad for Sunday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Ahmed is a standard practice-squad gameday elevation and, per NFL regulation, will revert back to the club’s practice squad after the game.

Three Bears are questionable to play Sunday — Muhammad, Stevenson, Monangai.
Theo Benedet has the green light.
This is Bears RB Kyle Monangai. He was back at practice today. He is listed as questionable to play Sunday.
For full context, Biggs has now gone 100 consecutive games proclaiming “Good spot for a fake here.”
Sunday night? Maybe? 🤔
The #Bears have gone 100 consecutive regular-season games without attempting a fake on special teams.
The last try was a successful 11-yard run from a punt formation by Barkevious Mingo - the longest run of the game for the team.
Chicago lost 24-17 at Tennessee on Nov. 8, 2020.
“We study all week for a three-and-a-half-hour, oral exam in front of millions of people, and you want to be ready for any of the 100 people who are going to be the story of that night.”

Why does Caleb Williams hum between plays?
It's not just a quirky habit. There's actually science behind how it helps him stay calm under pressure.
@eliseedevlin explains.
“I’m big on my faith and the concept of ‘ask for more.’ I think this is my ‘more’ that I’ve been praying for. The emotions of that hit me the other night. I’m just grateful to be here now on a big stage with a great team.”

Don’t look now. Bears RB D’Andre Swift is on pace for 1,500 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns this season.

WEEK 8 REVIEW
Unofficial Caleb Williams report card of his 36 called passing plays vs. Seahawks
🌟— 1 play (star power)
👍— 12 plays (very nice)
⭕️ — 19 plays
👎— 3 plays (substandard)
🤢— 1 play (gross)
(Includes 1 scramble)
One of my favorite plays of the night: third-down conversion on opening drive. Scramble drill. Caleb to Colston. Both dudes totally in sync on when and how to activate the second play. Gain of 15.
Ben with the sketch book ... Eager to learn a little more about the gadget direct snap to Swift, who flips to Caleb who absolutely pierces the bullseye with a rocket to Rome for 24.
One of those things you don't realize in real time. Caleb Williams' final recorded pass Monday night came with 11:00 to go. It was a second-and-long rip to Loveland to move the chains.
Bears finished from there with 11 runs (including two TDs) and a Victory kneel.
Have been on the beat for 14 seasons. Bears fans always travel well. But I cannot recall at any time this much gear and spirit wear in airports and on flights.
It’s now a regular intercom talking point for the flight crews.
The Bears got early dividends from the Jeffery Simmons’ deal Monday night. With the Super Bowl chase wide open, @JerryBrewer sees an opportunity for other contenders to get aggressive on the trade market.

Presence.
It wears a No. 99 Bears jersey now.
Here’s what Jeffery Simmons’ impact looks like on the field and in the stat sheet.
Great stuff from @kfishbain
