Interesting to see the impact of Gavin and Stacey on the various music charts. @themaccabees Pelican holding steady at number 1 on @Shazam. The same track entering the Top 20 on @itunesUKmusic along with @keaneofficial and @thebeatles ('Blackbird'). But not a glimmer of...
... any of them on Spotify's Top 200! Which means the chance of this lovely National moment being reflected in the @officialcharts is slim at best.
*** I miss these quirks in the chart. They kept it interesting and gave it character.

Why is British music vanishing... from the UK’s own chart?
Throughout this year I’ve looked at the UK Singles chart with dismay. With very few exceptions, new British artists are not making it into this esteemed listing. (continues)
