Beavers damming the Thames….:) Ecotalk is the world’s only mobile network to use all the money it makes to protect nature, not for paying shareholders. We’ve teamed up with @ChrisGPackham, who better to be our Chief Ecologist - to make buy land and give it back to nature; rewilding and replanting our way across Britain. Switch to Ecotalk and every single thing you do and second you spend on your phone - helps bring back British wildlife. We’re turning Doomscrolling into Bloomscrolling. hello.ecotalk.co.uk/wildprot…

Britain has a long history of protest, from the Suffragettes to the Poll Tax to Just Stop Oil - we protest to make our country a better place. And so it should be no surprise to see wildlife taking to the ‘streets’. We’ve pushed our native creatures to the brink, taken the land from under their feet (claws, hooves etc). It’s time to fight back – with a simple switch of your mobile provider to Ecotalk, you can help us buy land to give back to nature. hello.ecotalk.co.uk/wildprot…

We are flying the Palestinian flag outside our headquarters to show solidarity with Palestine. The council claims we need planning permission. We’ve written to the council to explain why they’re wrong and we’d also like to establish that for the benefit of others. We will not be removing the flag or applying for planning permission. stroudtimes.com/dale-vince-s…

The UK's energy mix is still only 40% renewable on average. We supply 100% renewable energy to our customers, and we don't stop there. We reinvest our customer's bills into building new windmills and push for real, meaningful systemic change.

Our founder @DaleVince has long spoken up for the Palestinian people. Like many who do so, he has faced accusations of racism and antisemitism – this is how supporters of Israel suppress free speech in our country. He took legal action against the more extreme attacks and, over the past 12 months, secured nine victories – many resulting in payments of damages. All of those damages were donated to Palestinian charities. The first sum came from the Daily Mail, and it went towards electricity, baby milk, water tankers, and support for mothers in Gaza. When the media tried to silence him with lies, Dale corrected those lies – and turned the outcome into direct aid. Hopefully, this has created the space for others to feel more able to speak out in support of Palestine and its people. It is a just cause. xitter.cf/DaleVince/status/18998…
Another £40k of donations on their way to Gaza from the Daily Mail (libel damages). - £10k towards Electricity Supply - £10k towards Mothers Of Gaza - £10k towards Baby Milk - £10k towards Water Tanks   This is what it looked like the first time I sent the Mail’s money to Gaza…:)

75% of Britain’s electricity is coming from the wind and sun right now. The technology works. The infrastructure exists. The transition is already happening. Let's leave fossil fuels in the ground.

Have you ever wondered why your energy bills are still high, even though renewables are cheaper than ever? It’s because the UK’s electricity pricing system is tied to the price of gas. When gas prices spike, your bills do too – even if your power comes from the wind or sun. We think that’s broken. And it’s time to fix it. Break the link ✊🏻 Read @DaleVince's article here - dalevince.com/reports/breaki… Read our report here - assets.ctfassets.net/fpr6c52… #BreakTheLink #Electricity #Gas #Renewables

A healthier, greener Britain starts with what’s on our plates. Our founder, @DaleVince, has launched a parliamentary petition calling for a shift in food policy - one that promotes plant-based options instead of propping up meat and dairy. Over 20,000 people have already signed. Let’s keep it going. 📢 Sign the petition: petition.parliament.uk/petit… At Ecotricity, we’ve always said: to tackle the climate crisis, we need to change how we power, travel and eat - the three sectors that drive 80% of all emissions. Food is one of the biggest. That’s why we’re backing this call.
We’re in a health crisis — and a climate crisis. And a wildlife crisis. Yet the Government spends public money promoting the biggest driver of all three - the meat and dairy industries? It’s time to back a plant-based future. Help us reach 100,000 signatures and push for a debate in Parliament. Sign the petition 👉🏻 petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Drax is not just a Bond villain - it’s a real life villain here in Britain - simultaneously consuming vast amounts of public money (£11 billion and counting) and millions of ancient trees from Canada. Worse still, Drax claims the trees arrive in Britain entirely carbon free, and burning them makes ‘green’ - who are they kidding? Perhaps the biggest greenwash Britain has ever suffered. Time to end it. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Britain’s energy bills are hostage to misfortune. Wars in the Middle East are the latest events. And it’s not the usual rogue state candidates to blame - bastions of international law and order (so say) the USA are at it now and with our support… We need to end our reliance on fossil fuels and the mad mechanism that allows the price of gas to set the price of green energy - to insulate ourselves (or at least our energy bills) from this madness and anarchy.
BREAKING: Iranian parliament has just voted to close the Strait of Hormuz. - 20% of global oil passes through the Strait HERE’s what to expect if successful: - Oil Prices could spike by 30–50%+ almost immediately - Global Inflation likely Rises - U.S. Gas Prices likely Skyrocket. Potential $5–$7/gallon range depending on duration - Military Escalation Risk. U.S. Navy and allies likely to respond - Tanker delays affect oil, LNG, and related goods Thanks Trump.

The climate stripes say it all. A century of rising temperatures, turning blue to red - and now, we’ve passed 1.5°C. Last year, those stripes lit up our windmill in Stroud. A visual warning. A call to act. The future isn’t written yet. We can still change the outcome.

The sun gives us more energy in an hour than the world uses in a year. Yet we still dig, burn, pollute. For 30 years, we’ve been working to change that — building windmills, solar parks, and a different kind of energy company. Because we believe there’s another way. A future powered by nature, not destruction. This solstice, we’re asking you to believe it too.

32°C this weekend in England. That kind of heat should’ve been a once-in-2,500-year event. Now it’s happening because of the climate crisis – made 100 times more likely by the burning of fossil fuels. We’ve already lost over 10,000 lives to heatwaves in the UK in the past few years. And we’re still not prepared for what’s coming. This is what fossil fuels are doing to our country. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can power our homes without burning the planet. We can rethink how we travel, how we eat, how we live. We’ve got the tools. We just need the will to use them. Article: theguardian.com/environment/…
