Congratulations to our Private Lobuche Peak and Ama Dablam expedition member, Betty, for successfully reaching the summit of Lobuche Peak this morning!
Lobuche East is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable high-altitude experience and prepare for more technical climbs. By incorporating this summit into Betty’s itinerary before Ama Dablam, we’re helping her build acclimatisation, confidence, and climbing experience ahead of the next challenge.
At Elite Exped, we understand that every climber has different goals, experience, and needs. That’s why we work to design personalised expedition itineraries that balance preparation, acclimatisation, and climbing objectives.
While no itinerary can guarantee a summit, thoughtful planning and proper acclimatisation can help climbers prepare more effectively for the challenges ahead.
Congratulations again, Betty! Enjoy this incredible achievement, and best of luck as you continue towards Ama Dablam Base Camp and the next stage of your Himalayan adventure!
A huge congratulations to Betty and a big shout-out to our experienced guides, Dawa Temba and Aryan Lama, for their support throughout the climb.

Every step brings our trekkers closer to the heart of the Himalayas!
Our EBC trekking team is making its way towards Everest Base Camp, experiencing the incredible transformation of the landscape along the trail — from lush forests and green vegetation to small alpine bushes, rugged terrain, and the dramatic, dry landscapes of the high Himalayas.
Along the way, the team continues to focus on proper acclimatization, including a hike to a hill at approximately 5,000 metres. During the hike, they paid tribute to our late director, @nimsdai, honouring his legacy and remembering the inspiration he continues to be for all of us.
The changing scenery, the challenges of high altitude, and the breathtaking mountain views make every day a new adventure.
The destination is Everest Base Camp, but the memories are made with every step along the way!

At an altitude of 4,900 metres, Manaslu Base Camp is one of the most spectacular and beautifully positioned base camps in the Himalayas. Surrounded by breathtaking views of lush green valleys below and the towering 8,163-metre Manaslu, the world’s 8th-highest mountain, it offers an unforgettable setting for climbers preparing for their summit journey.
Our Base Camp is carefully set up to provide climbers with comfort, support, and a true home-away-from-home experience during the expedition. From training and acclimatisation to rest, recovery, and sharing unforgettable moments with the team, Base Camp becomes an important part of the Manaslu experience.
This year, Manaslu took an unexpected turn. Despite the determination and preparation of our climbers, the mountain did not allow anyone to reach the summit. But every climber returned with something valuable — beautiful memories, powerful experiences, and a deeper respect for the mountain.
If you are looking to take on your first 8,000-metre peak, Manaslu is an incredible stepping stone into the world of high-altitude mountaineering.
The mountain will be waiting.

This is what Manaslu Base Camp looks like right now.
The Base Camp has been receiving continuous snowfall over the past couple of days, with significantly heavier snowfall at the higher camps. With the mountain continuing to receive snow, the conditions above Base Camp remain challenging and require careful assessment.
Given the current situation, several expedition operators have already decided to cancel their climbs due to the increased avalanche risk and unstable mountain conditions.
At Elite Exped, safety remains our number one priority. For the moment, we have halted our climbers from moving higher and are keeping everyone safely at Base Camp while our team closely monitors the latest weather forecasts and mountain conditions.
We are still hoping for a change in the weather and a possible safe window ahead. However, we will not compromise on the safety of our members.
In the coming days, we will make a careful decision based on the conditions and determine whether it is safe to continue the expedition.
For now, our team remains patient, prepared, and safe at Base Camp.
The mountain will always be there. Safety comes first.
Please stay tuned for further updates from Manaslu.

Manaslu Expedition | Rotation Complete
Moments from our teams’ recent camp rotation, with all of our expedition members now safely back at Base Camp.
After spending several days at higher camps and completing their acclimatisation rotation, the teams are now resting, recovering, refuelling, and preparing for the final phase of the expedition.
The weather conditions are not yet as expected for the summit push, so for now, patience is the name of the game. The team will continue monitoring the conditions and wait for the right weather window before moving higher.
For our climbers, this is an important part of the expedition — recover well, stay strong, keep your mind focused, and be ready when the mountain gives us the opportunity.
Congratulations to everyone on completing the rotation. Rest well and prepare for what comes next.

A glimpse into the latest camp rotation of our Manaslu expedition team.
Our members spent four days in total at the higher camps, giving their bodies valuable time to adapt to the altitude and conditions of the mountain. During the rotation, the teams successfully reached Camp 3 before making their way back down.
Team A and Team B are now safely back at Base Camp after completing their rotation, while Team C is expected to return tomorrow.
Now, the waiting game begins.
The teams will monitor the weather window closely and prepare for the right opportunity to begin their summit push.
Until then: rest, recover, refuel, and prepare your mind for the summit.

Shaped by Experience. Built on Trust.
Among the many lessons the mountains taught Nimsdai was the importance of being prepared, and of having gear you can trust when conditions become challenging.
Through years spent at high altitude and in some of the toughest environments on Earth, he experienced first-hand how much the right equipment can matter. That experience helped shape @nimsdaistore.
His vision was simple: to create gear that he himself trusted and was proud to put his name behind - for people who share the same passion for the mountains, from those taking their first steps to those pursuing the world’s highest summits.
Today, our Manaslu expedition members are on the mountain, refreshing essential skills and getting themselves ready for the challenges that lie ahead wearing @nimsdaistore gear as they do so.
There is something special in seeing that journey continue: climbers pursuing their own goals in the mountains, wearing gear shaped by the experience of someone who understood what those environments demand.
His experience shaped it.
He trusted it.
Now others carry that trust into the mountains.
To our Manaslu team- stay focused, stay sharp, and carry that preparation with you into the challenge ahead.
We wish every member a safe, strong and successful expedition.

Standing with Nepal
Yesterday, Nepal was hit by devastating flash flooding after an ice and rock collapse high in the Himalayas sent a powerful surge of water, mud and debris through the valleys near the Nepal–Tibet border. The scale of the destruction has been overwhelming, with communities, roads, bridges and infrastructure badly affected.
Nepal is at the heart of who we are. It was Nimsdai’s home, the place that shaped him and the spirit, strength and determination he carried with him throughout his life. Those same values are woven into Elite Exped, and our connection to Nepal, its mountains and its people runs incredibly deep. To see communities there facing such devastation is heartbreaking.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected and with the communities now facing the difficult days ahead.
On the ground, Elite Exped is working with our partners to assess what is needed most urgently. We are looking at essential supplies, temporary shelters and other practical support that can be provided to affected communities in the coming days.
We have also released immediate disaster relief funds through the Nimsdai Foundation and are now looking carefully at the next steps, working with those on the ground to understand where the funding can have the greatest impact.
For anyone who would like to support the relief effort, donations can be made directly to the Nimsdai Foundation Disaster Relief Fund via the link in their Linktree. Every contribution will go towards supporting communities affected by the disaster.
This is an evolving situation, and we will continue to assess what is needed and how we can best support the communities affected.
We stand united with Nepal and her people.
On World Humanitarian Day, across all our brands, we’re proud to recognise the work of the @Nimsdai_Foundation.
Founded by @nimsdai on a simple belief: success isn’t just about the summits we reach, but the lives we help change along the way.
Everything the Nimsdai Foundation does is guided by three principles: Inspire. Educate. Protect.
From supporting mountain communities and creating opportunities for young people, to protecting the places we are privileged to explore, supporting veterans, and standing alongside communities in times of need, these values are at the heart of its work.
Today, we recognise the Nimsdai Foundation, the people behind its work, and their continued commitment to making a difference and carrying forward the values and legacy of @nimsdai.
Inspire. Educate. Protect.
From reflection, we continue to move forward together.
The first of our three Kilimanjaro groups has completed their climb, reaching the summit of Africa’s highest mountain together.
Every person who joins us on an adventure comes with their own story, their own reasons and their own idea of what might be possible.
This has always been at the heart of Elite Exped- bringing people together, supporting one another through challenge, and helping people discover their own new possible through adventure.
We are incredibly proud of our first group and grateful to our guides and crew on the mountain who continue to make these experiences possible.
With two more groups still to take on Kilimanjaro, the journey continues.
One team. One purpose. Moving forward together. ❤️

The past few weeks have been a time of immense loss and reflection.
Our founder, @nimsdai, founded Elite Exped with a belief in helping people achieve their new possible through adventure. Through his own journey, he showed people that nothing is impossible with a determined approach, a positive attitude and the courage to push beyond what we believe we are capable of.
His impact on this team, our community and the mountains will always remain part of who we are.
Behind Elite Exped is an incredible family of guides, climbers, operations teams and people working behind the scenes around the world - many of whom have built this journey together over many years.
Together, we remain committed to our people, our community and the purpose that has always been at the heart of Elite Exped - helping people discover their own new possible through adventure.
We will carry with us the legacy, lessons and memories of Nimsdai and all those we have lost.
Together, we move forward. ❤️
Following the avalanche on Broad Peak on 30 July, and after an extraordinarily difficult recovery operation, our founder, Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja, has now been brought home to the UK. Our guides Yukta and Nima have also been brought home to their families in Nepal, alongside Kili Pemba “Kilu” Sherpa and Gyalu Sherpa.
We will never have enough words to thank everyone who made this possible. Our deepest gratitude goes to the ground recovery team, led by Mingma G, alongside the Pakistan Army and the President of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, whose courage, determination and selfless commitment in exceptionally challenging and dangerous conditions made it possible to bring our team members home. What they did for Nimsdai, our team and their families will never be forgotten.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Sirbaz Khan, Dipen Gurung, Pemba Chewang Sherpa and everyone who supported the operation on the ground, as well as the Pakistan Army, Government of Pakistan, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, local authorities, British High Commission, Embassy of Nepal and Alpine Club of Pakistan.
To every person who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinated logistics, offered their expertise or supported the recovery and repatriation in any way: thank you. And to our community around the world, your messages, prayers, kindness and unwavering support have carried us through the most difficult of days. We are eternally grateful.
A funeral will be held to honour and remember Nimsdai. This will be a private, invitation-only service for family, friends and invited guests. The funeral and all arrangements relating to the service are being managed solely by us on behalf of Nimsdai’s family. We kindly ask that no independent arrangements, announcements or initiatives relating to the funeral are made or shared.
We kindly ask that the privacy of Nimsdai’s family and loved ones is respected as they come together to say goodbye. The date will be shared closer to the time, allowing those around the world who knew, loved and were inspired by Nimsdai to honour him in their own way.
Nimsdai is finally home. We will honour his extraordinary legacy and carry his vision forward.
Forever in our hearts.
Remembering Nirmal "Nimsdai" Purja MBE. Husband. Father. Brother. World-renowned groundbreaking mountaineer. Entrepreneur. Leader. Gurkha. Special Forces Veteran.
These titles describe who Nimsdai is, but they don't capture what he represents.
Nimsdai built a legacy by challenging limits and breaking boundaries. He redefined what was possible and showed the world what can be achieved when belief, courage, and relentless determination come together.
Nimsdai dedicated his life to expanding the boundaries of human potential while using his achievements to create opportunities for others. He used his voice to champion others, especially Nepal's climbing community. Through the work of the Nimsdai Foundation, he transformed the lives of mountain communities, championed education and opportunity, and inspired people across the world to pursue lives of purpose, resilience and service. His vision, leadership and determination built Elite Exped, Nimsdai Foundation, Skydive Nimsdai and Nimsdai Store into what they are today. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he changed and the people he inspired to climb their own mountains.
Nimsdai was climbing Broad Peak as part of his own expedition to become the first person in history to climb all 14 eight-thousanders twice without supplementary oxygen. Nimsdai was accompanied by his trusted climbing partners and guides, Pur Bahadur Gurung (Yukta) and Nima Sherpa. With only Cho Oyu remaining to complete all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks for a third time as part of his Hat-Trick Project in support of the Nimsdai Foundation.
Yet, true to the philosophy that defined his life, this climb was never simply about records. It was about pushing the limits of what was possible and inspiring others to believe that their own mountains could also be climbed.
On 28 July, Nimsdai dedicated the climb with these words:
"To everyone who carried me here. Supporters. Critics. All of you. Without both sides, there is no fire. So thank you genuinely. My purpose has never been about me. It's about what I represent. It's about showing YOU that your mountains - whatever they are - are climbable."
Those pioneering final words perfectly capture who Nimsdai is. His greatest achievement has never simply been the summits he's stood on, but the belief he's instilled in millions of people around the world: that impossible is often just a starting point.
So Nimsdai, we salute you for reminding us all that every mountain is climbable. You never left anyone behind, even when it meant putting yourself in harm's way. Your courage, selflessness, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire us, and your legacy will live on in every person you inspired. We will honour your vision by continuing the work you started; your mission lives on through all of us.
If you could see what we see today, you would know that you achieved your mission. Nimsdai, you truly showed the world that "giving up is not in the blood," and for that, we thank you for ever and always.
Rest well Nimsdai. Your spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.
