🎃🪿 Happy Monday and happy Halloween week! In our professional opinion, not much is scarier than a goose protecting her nest… except maybe showing up to a property that’s never had goslings to find out a family has moved in! 😅 But we asked the Flyaway Geese crew what they think is even scarier than a nesting goose… and let’s just say, the answers did not disappoint. 👀😂 👇 Swipe through to see what made the list! Nesting season is still a few months away, but now is the time to start planning. Contact Flyaway Geese to learn how we can help you get ahead of nesting season before the geese make themselves at home! #FlyawayGeese #GooseManagement #NestingSeason #WorkingDogs #HalloweenWeek

FUN FACT FRIDAY! Did you know Canada geese can recognize familiar faces? 👀 They can learn to distinguish between people and remember individuals they’ve encountered before. So the next time a flock gives you the side-eye… they might actually know who you are. 😂🪿 #FlyawayGeese #GooseFacts #CanadaGeese #GooseManagement

Your next course employee could have four paws. 🐾 Flyaway Geese is partnering with @EnvuGolfUS and @GCSAA to give one lucky golf course superintendent a trained goose dog! Our Border Collies have a job they love: helping move geese off the turf through humane goose management. Now one superintendent has the chance to bring a working dog to their course. 📍 Winner must attend the 2027 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in New Orleans. What is this employee thinking? WRONG ANSWERS ONLY. 😂 We’ll start: “I’m just going to walk over and introduce myself.” Drop yours in the comments—the answer that makes us laugh the hardest wins absolutely nothing except bragging rights. 🏆 #WrongAnswersOnly #FlyawayGeese #BorderCollieLife #DogsAtWork

TUESDAY MYTH VS. FACT MYTH: If you chase the geese away once, they won’t come back. FACT: If a property continues to offer food, water, safety and open space, the geese often return as soon as the disturbance is gone. That is why an effective program requires consistency. We begin with an intensive push designed to interrupt the birds’ established habits. Once they stop viewing the property as a comfortable resting place, we transition into maintenance visits to help prevent them from settling back in. It isn’t about one dramatic chase. It’s about changing behavior over time. #MythVsFact #GooseFacts #FlyawayGeese #PropertyManagement #WildlifeManagement

The Monday morning meeting is now in session. 🐾🪿 Today’s agenda: • Discuss unauthorized use of the property • Review excessive landscaping complaints • Announce that the complimentary buffet is closed • Escort attendees from the premises Our trained Border Collies help persuade Canada geese to move along through controlled, humane pressure—without touching or harming the birds. Professional goose management can still be a little fun. 📞 844-40-GEESE — FOR ZERO GEESE 🌐 [flyawaygeese.com](flyawaygeese.com) #MondayMeeting #FlyawayGeese #WorkingBorderCollie #GooseManagement

FRIDAY EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT 🐾 Flyaway Hoop- The 3 legged goose wonder dog Position: Goose Management Specialist Uniform: Black and white Favorite activity: Making geese reconsider their weekend plans Weakness: My Dad Strengths: Speed, intelligence, focus and an unmatched work ethic Attendance record: Excellent—especially when someone says “ride” even with 3 legs Our Border Collies love having a job, but enthusiasm alone does not make a safe working dog. Each dog must also have the obedience, recall, control and temperament needed to work around people, traffic, water and wildlife. They are talented dogs backed by serious training. #EmployeeSpotlight #BorderCollie #DogsWithJobs #FlyawayGeese #WorkingDog

They may be the most recognizable members of our team. But these dogs represent something much bigger. Nearly 30 years of learning what works. Thousands of properties and situations. Generations of dogs. Handler training. Safety standards. Wildlife regulations. And a whole lot of early mornings. We built the new Flyaway Geese website to tell more of that story. If you've only known us as "the people with the Border Collies," come meet the company behind them. flyawaygeese.com 📞 844-40-GEESE **FOR ZERO GEESE.** #FlyawayGeese #BorderCollie #WorkingDogs #GooseControl #CanadaGeese

Not every office has a desk. Some have a stage. Some have a pond. Some have 18 holes, a university campus, an apartment community or hundreds of acres to cover. And somewhere out there is usually a goose that thinks it owns the place. 😂 Our teams work where the problem is — seven days a week, in all kinds of weather, across some pretty incredible properties. The new flyawaygeese.com was built to finally show you more of that work. Take a look around. 📞 844-40-GEESE **FOR ZERO GEESE.** #FlyawayGeese #WorkingDogs #BorderCollie #GooseControl #FacilityManagement

Yesterday we showed you the new Flyaway Geese. Today, we'll show you what happens behind the website. This is the job. Geese on the water. A trained Border Collie assessing the situation. A handler deciding how and when to apply pressure. The goal isn't to make geese fly away for five minutes. It's to change their behavior so they stop choosing the property in the first place. That's what nearly 30 years in this business has taught us.
