⚠️ ⛈️ FLOOD RISK: The multiday flood threat that brought inches of rain to the Southwest has shifted to the Plains on Sunday to wrap up the weekend which is expected to continue to start the work week. FOX Weather Meteorologist @MelanieBlackWx has the latest:

🌊 🌧️ COASTAL THREAT: A multi-day severe storm threat plagues the Sunshine State to start the week as heavy rain and intense wind gusts help fuel King Tides that could slam coastal cities, creating a prolonged flood threat for thousands.

🌧️ FLORIDA SOAKER: The Sunshine State continues to be drenched by severe storms that brought heavy rain this weekend, with no chance of slowing down as wet weather continues through Wednesday, helping fuel a flood threat. FOX Weather Meteorologist @MichaelEstimeWX has the latest:

RUSHING WATER RESCUE 🌊🚒: Three people were pulled from the rain-swollen Pacoima Wash, after fast-moving floodwaters swept through the channel. Los Angeles Fire Department crews rescued one woman from the water, used a helicopter to reach a man and lowered a firefighter from an aerial ladder to save a third person clinging to a bridge.

ICYMI👀: Rescue crews in Northern California spent nearly three days trying to safely rescue a man who injured himself climbing Mount Shasta last weekend. Photos show the crews ascending the mountain, carrying the hiker downhill and bringing him to a waiting helicopter. He injured his leg and was suffering from frostbite and the start of hypothermia.

‼️ RESTLESS PLANET: Earth saw more than 177 magnitude 4.5 or higher earthquakes over the past 7 days, with most appearing to happen in the Eastern Hemisphere.

COLORADO FLOODWAVE 🌊: Flooding inundated Pagosa Springs, Colorado, on Oct. 23, after the San Juan River overflowed its banks. Jaw-dropping video captures the raging river as rare severe weather slammed much of the Southwest, with a Flood Warning in effect for the region.

THEN AND NOW 🌊🔥: Satellite imagery shows this year’s powerful El Niño building across the Pacific, with a massive pool of warm water surging eastward toward South America. The developing event resembles the 1997–98 El Niño, one of the strongest on record, raising concerns about major weather disruptions worldwide.

CLOCK CHANGE 🕰️: Brace for darker evenings. Daylight saving time ends Nov. 1, when clocks fall back one hour. CROSS-COUNTRY JOURNEY ✈️: Annautaq, a 5-month-old, 220-pound Pacific walrus calf discovered orphaned on a remote beach, made the 4,000-mile journey from Alaska to Florida recently, where he will grow up among SeaWorld Orlando's walrus herd.

TRACKING VANCE 🌀: Hurricane Vance is slowly moving in the Pacific off of the Mexico coast as a Category 2 storm. Vance is packing 105 mph winds after briefly reaching 'major' hurricane status.

MULTIDAY MOUNTAIN RESCUE 🚁: After almost three days, a hiker who injured his leg while trying to descend Mount Shasta in California but was sent on a wrong route by GPS, was rescued through dangerous weather conditions with a team of 30+ search and rescue operations.

THEN & NOW 👀: Two major flooding events have slammed Pagosa Springs, Colorado just a year apart. In 2025, the San Juan River rose to just near 13 feet. This week the river reached more than 15 feet, making it the highest crest on record dating back to 1911. The record is 17.8 feet in October 1911.

TRACKING CHAMPI 🌀: This is what remains of Typhoon Champi, a system that tied the record for the strongest storm on Earth this year. At it's peak, it carried 185 mph winds and slammed Guam and Taiwan, leaving hundreds injured.
