It took FTX’s collapse for the crypto industry to learn the importance of third-party custody. What should it learn from Binance and the wave of hacks this past year as AI reshapes cybersecurity? I looked into it -- bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Prediction markets won big in the midterms, but it's hard to imagine the PR halo extending to sports betting—still the business that matters most, with the greatest regulatory risk.

The GENIUS act enshrined 1:1 backing as a standard in real-world assets (RWAs) represented by tokens onchain. That standard isn’t going to work for tokenized equities. Read the latest Stork Research report to learn why, and how you can normalize it: stork.network/research/token…

Crypto’s irony is that it usually is attacked first and mocked for its operational failures Yet the competition ends up looted more aggressively later by the same actors (🇰🇵) and reluctantly adopts the security solutions that wouldn’t exist without crypto being attacked first
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

It might be that crypto's best product isn't bitcoin, it's a generation of tech & finance talent that is just fine with every day being like this for the next 1 to 3 years.

Can confirm. An alcohol-fueled ride through tech, politics, money, crypto, memes, in the guise of community theater. Well worth seeing if you’re into any of the above.
A few quick words on @btschiller's new play. The plot mixes pinches of Charlie Shrem, @rstormsf, w/SBF's parents. It's a fast-paced political thriller/meditation on power that also echoes the history of crypto. But maybe most of all, it's funny throughout and very well-acted.

Hermes now drives ~2.5% of all global token usage... The third major AI lab has arrived and the only one truly committed to open intelligence for everyone, not locked down by a closed corporate moat. @Breed_VC is proud to have seeded @NousResearch in the early days and be a part of their journey. Congrats.
🚨BREAKING: Nous Research has raised $90 million at a $1.5 billion valuation after its open-source Hermes agent exploded in usage. Hermes has been downloaded 22.7 million times since February. Nous was at roughly $36 million in annualized revenue by mid-September. It expects to pass $100 million later this year.

RWA perps volume dipped in September, replacing levered AI frenzy with a rotation back to gold, oil, and macro. The major exception was @Aster_DEX, with a surge in RWA perps quoted in the $USD1 stablecoin issued by Trump-founded @worldlibertyfi. 🧵 👇 Welcome to Stork Research’s monthly report on RWA perps volume.
