Glass Protocol

glass is now open. no submissions. no passes needed. just cool videos on-chain. join the Glass family today song by @FINKELBAND

The spirit of Glass will live on in every video on-chain. We’re excited to see where you take the vision next ✨

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank every single Glass creator and collector. It has been an honor to celebrate your videos alongside you. While the chapter of Glass may be ending, the story of on-chain media is just beginning.

So what’s next? 1) Glass will continue to remain free and accessible to all creators 2) We will be closing our Telegram chat in the next few days 3) Our help email ([email protected]) will be available for all queries and support

We’ve done our best to adapt to the ever-changing market over the last 2 years. We’ve seen some real usage of Glass over the years. The love we’ve gotten has kept us going. However, sustainability is a real issue— the platform’s revenue does not offset the development costs.

We’ve made the tough decision of ending active development on Glass. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped us bring Glass to life. While development will end, our platform will remain open and free for all creators to use.

Together, we’ve pioneered that vision - shaping the future of creator sovereignty. From Aly’s “Party On” to Tarot’s “Imaginary Friend” From Timbaland’s “Has a Meaning” to ROHKI’s Season Finale Creators and their videos have always been the heart and soul of Glass.

We started Glass with a vision for a decentralized video protocol. One where ownership and monetization are controlled by video creators, not the platform. One where videos are valued for what they’re truly worth.

Today we have some unfortunate news to share. After a lot of consideration, we've decided to wind down development of Glass 🧵
