🗣We are recruiting for a Service Manager and a Support Worker.
🔸We are keen to hear from people with lived experience of racism and/or refugee background for both of these roles.
Homelessness prevention experience would be a advantage too.

🗣 Extended Deadline 🗣
Can you be our Service Manager? We are striving to develop a team more representative of the young people we work alongside, this means we are looking for applications from people with lived experiences of racism or being a refugee

📢Terrible News - Immigration Detention is expanding!
HO had confirmed to us and other orgs about the plans to re-accommodate women at Yarl's Wood IRC and a new residential STHF at Swinderby.
A shift away from the commitment to using alternatives to detention.

I love the new sticker being distributed by a small team of people in the Home Office. The employees are unwilling to implement the govt’s new laws on refugees, laws that mean vulnerable people fleeing war & persecution, traumatised by dangerous journeys, are deported to Rwanda. – at Brighton, England

But will you end the hostile environment for refugees? Will you acknowledge the racism which is within the systems that are meant to protect them? Will you put a stop to the inhumane Rwanda deal?

United Kingdom: backsliding on #HumanRights must be prevented.
Read my preliminary conclusions at the end of a 5-day visit to the #UK focusing on the system for human rights protection, the situation in #NorthernIreland, and #ChildRights. coe.int/en/web/commissioner/…
Very happy to have signed this letter condemning the Rwanda "deal".
On #WorldRefugeeDay & as Commonwealth Heads meet in Kigali, 170 orgs (incl. groups led by refugees, human rights orgs, international development agencies, major faiths, women's groups & regional & local NGOs from all over UK) condemn govt's Rwanda scheme. independent.co.uk/voices/let…

We’re outside the Home Office to stand against this government’s cruel plan to send people fleeing torture & war to Rwanda

Keep up the resistance! Well done @FreefromTorture !!
The airline Privilege Style has been ignoring thousands of us about the flights to Rwanda for weeks. So today we turned up at their Majorca HQ.

We and partner orgs have written to the Home Office about the #Rwanda policy. It's crucial that young people who have had their age assessed as over 18 can obtain legal advice and are protected while they challenge the decision childrenssociety.org.uk/rwan…
