.@houmayor, this is extreme, reckless, politically driven, and dangerous. It is difficult to see how this advances public safety. Why can't we learn from tragedies? Why are the Katies in our communities given so little consideration or protection? Illinois is one of many case studies of what not to do. It shows us the consequences of this ideology. An illegal immigrant with prior law enforcement interactions remained within a system of lax classifications, "nonviolent" and "non-jailable" labels, and failures to adequately account for immigration enforcement. The outcome? Two innocent young women dead (including my Katie) and three others seriously injured. Katie was only 20. Now she is in a grave. @houmayor, can you even begin to imagine the fear and suffering she endured as she took her final breaths on this earth? Can your selective compassion account for that? Yet somehow, the risks that led to this tragedy rarely seem to enter the calculations of those advancing these policies. Why? This is a moral inversion: elevating the fear of immigration enforcement while overlooking the risks imposed on innocent people. Reclassifying offenses, reducing charges, and restricting immigration enforcement cooperation do not eliminate risk. They transfer it. Public safety matters. Laws matter. American citizens matter. Victims matter. Why should innocent Americans become collateral damage for political ideology and pandering? And when your policies contribute to preventable harm, will you step up and accept accountability?
I have signed an executive order directing HPD to no longer contact ICE for nonviolent offences, helping reduce fear in our communities. Thank you to Chief Diaz, our state and local leaders for their collaboration. A step toward building a stronger Houston. Let’s Go to Work.

Excited for my friend @StephenM. President Trump made an excellent choice by choosing him as his chief of staff. Under @SusieWiles47’s leadership, I personally learned a great deal from her on how she handled personal adversity and balanced a strong work ethic. It’s an honor to be in the fight with so many great America First patriots.
"I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026. Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job!" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸

This is our why. Ryan O’Shea, 21, a University of New Haven student, was killed Oct. 16 in a head-on crash in North Haven, Connecticut, when a truck traveling the wrong way struck his vehicle. The driver was Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a 31-year-old Mexican illegal alien. He should never have been in the United States in the first place, let alone behind the wheel. His family joins the many American families who have been left with unimaginable loss. Loss that was preventable.

COOPERATION FROM LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PREVENTED THIS CHILD SEX ABUSER’S RELEASE Nolberto Valdez Ruiz’s prior convictions include lewd acts with a child under 14. Tohono O'odham police had arrested him at an Arizona casino for alleged drug and weapons charges. Instead of releasing him on bond, the local authorities held this criminal illegal alien for ICE to prevent his release into the community. He has a prior removal on his immigration record and now also faces a federal charge for illegally reentering after removal. When law enforcement partners with ICE, criminals are taken off the streets and American communities are safer.

Replying to @ERONewYork
@ERONewYork is cleaning up the mess that sanctuary politicians created.   The Trump Administration is committed to protecting the American people in every city and every state, and we won’t let sanctuary politicians stand in our way.
FRONT LINES: Fox News Digital embedded with ICE agents as they swooped in on two people during high-stakes arrests on the streets of New York City. The city's ICE enforcement chief ripped Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other leaders, warning that sanctuary policies force agents to make risky arrests on the streets instead of taking them into custody at local jails. The early-morning operation saw agents move in on two men, handcuffing them and rushing them into SUVs. The first arrest was over in seconds. The second turned into a tense struggle.
