Support for Israel has proven to be electoral poison in two consecutive national elections, for Biden and Trump alike. Democrats must now prove they’ve learned that lesson and deliver on the mandate voters gave them on Tuesday. Read more from our communications director @HBendaas:
This election showed, once and for all, that standing with Palestine and against genocide and apartheid is both good policy and good politics. thenation.com/article/politi…

The genocide has not ended. The Israeli military continues to drop U.S.-made bombs in Gaza, murdering children, devastating families, and destroying what is left of Gaza. Congress must act to save Palestinians' lives and hold warmongers accountable. That starts by passing my Block the Bombs Act.
Ongoing attacks. Buildings at risk of collapse. Unsafe shelters infested with rats and insects. People in #Gaza deserve to live in safety and dignity. With winter approaching, more funding and the lifting of Israeli import restrictions on critical supplies are urgently needed.

72% of Democratic voters in South Carolina say they want the US to stop sending weapons to Israel until Israel ends its military rule over Palestinians and allows for Palestinian freedom. Will @CoryBooker stand with them?
Senator Cory Booker's team announces he is going to South Carolina, the leadoff state for 2028, twice in the next two weeks.

A striking stat re AIPAC performance in the midterms. In 2022, almost 70% of its funds went into races where it got the desired result. In 2024, it was 87%. In 2026, that figure is 34%. responsiblestatecraft.org/ai…

When Anthony Blinken was in charge, he chose to aid and abet Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its illegal war of aggression in south Lebanon. Instead of enforcing US and international law, he chose to fast-track tens of billions of dollars in bombs to Israel and lied to Congress about Israel’s blatant starvation of Palestinians to keep the weapons flowing. Trump’s war on Iran wouldn’t have been possible without the Biden administration enabling Israel at every turn. No one has less credibility than Blinken to be lecturing about how we show up in the world.
The midterm results send a clear message: How we show up in the world affects our lives at home, and Americans understand that. When we alienate allies, appease autocrats, impose arbitrary tariffs, and drive needless conflict, American families pay the price. The Administration’s actions over the last two years have had real consequences for our security, our economy, and our everyday lives. Americans have spoken loud and clear. We should act on the message they're sending.  A good place to start: a diplomatic resolution to President Trump's war of choice with Iran.

.@imeupolicy's @HBendaas in @thenation: "Unyielding support for Israel is electoral poison, and candidates who back Palestinian rights, oppose genocide, and call for a decisive break with Israel will win. Democrats—the honest ones, anyway—know this." 👏👏thenation.com/article/politi…

Last night, champions of Palestinians human rights won big across the United States, a clear rebuke of historic spending by AIPAC, which is determined to keep the US complicit in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and illegal wars of aggression. Supermajorities of Democratic voters that delivered this historic victory are demanding that Israel finally be held to account for its illegal occupation of Palestinian land, apartheid regime, and ongoing genocide in Gaza. They want to see a total arms embargo, not just an end to taxpayer-funded bombs. They want comprehensive sanctions on Israel, like those the US imposed on apartheid South Africa in order to end white supremacist rule there. These voters should not be ignored any longer. Democrats can not afford to repeat the mistakes they made in 2024. They should take this opportunity to put forward a more moral and popular agenda in this next Congress that reflects the will of their voters. imeupolicyproject.org/polls/…

Two years ago, Democrats lost to Donald Trump in swing states like Michigan in large part because they refused to listen to voters who were clearly demanding an end to funding for Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed has carved a new path for the party to regain the trust of the voters it had lost by standing firmly on the side of Palestinian rights and against the toxic and extreme agenda of AIPAC. AIPAC’s super PAC spent over $40 million to defeat Dr. El-Sayed this year, and it wasn’t enough. Democrats who want to win the presidential primary and general election in states like Michigan are on notice - we are in a new era for Palestinian rights.
Democrat Abdul El-Sayed wins Michigan’s U.S. Senate race, defeating Republican Mike Rogers to keep the seat blue and making history as the first Muslim elected to the United States Senate.  Watch Mehdi and Prem live from Mi on our YouTube page! f.mtr.cool/eow282lrzq

Congratulations Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed on your historic victory in Michigan. AIPAC spent over $40 million to defeat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. It wasn't enough. Here's to a future of no more money for Israel, money out of politics, and money into people's pockets.

For the love of all that is good, Democrats, do not squander this. The voters have given you a mandate. Use it. Be the party of working people. Be the anti-war party. Be the anti-corruption party. Be the party that ignores the Senate Parliamentarian. We cannot go back to business as usual.

You can read our memo (linked below) to learn why this bait and switch will mean more money from American taxpayers with less oversight from Congress. Still, the magnitude of a sitting US president deciding to announce plans to end miltary funding to Israel as an election day hail mary can really not be overstated. US politics on Israel will never be the same.
President Trump is a serial liar who has announced over $20 billion in weapons giveaways to Israel since taking office and launched a war at Israel’s request that has already cost every US household over $2,000 - the equivalent of $262 billion. He and other politicians realize our taxpayer funding for Israel is a liability. That's why he and his allies in Congress are at this very moment trying to advance legislation to conceal support for Israel by integrating Israeli weapons companies into the Pentagon. Learn more about this bait and switch and why Americans will still be funding Israeli weapons makers in record amounts in our policy memo: imeupolicyproject.org/memos/…

Americans are about to pay more for healthcare than they have in years because President Trump cut $23 billion in funding for the Affordable Care Act. Meanwhile he and Republicans in Congress have greenlighted endless billions to fund the war in Iran, Israel’s invasion of Lebanon, and Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Keep that in mind when you go vote today.

The Israeli govt is still carrying out a genocide in Gaza. Their starvation, targeting, & murdering of Palestinians is still happening in broad daylight despite the so-called "ceasefire" in the region. We must continue pushing to save lives & for a true, just, & lasting peace.
