The @Revolut data leak drives home a point I have been making for years due to my work with @inca_digital that most don’t want to acknowledge: banks and regulators are deeply unprepared for the modern shape of fraud.
Now Revolut is facing near unbounded legal risk (a single home invasion resulting in a fatality after this leak will dog them for decades), and criminal actors have another tool in their belt they know works, so if you think this stops with Revolut you are insane.
If you don’t have a financial intelligence firm doing this at scale as a defensive layer, no matter how sophisticated you think you are, you are being exploited right now.
It’s just a question of when both you and the mainstream media find out about it.
