One reason it's considered a crime to say 'white people' is that white people think they are just 'regular' 'people', the main category, whereas the rest of us are marked for race and colour, we are the 'ethnics'. (As though they don't have ethnicity!)

It appears as though the NHS student nurses who bravely stepped up, 6 months before graduating, to help staff the pandemic have now been hung out to dry.
Surely their contracts haven’t been cancelled? Clarification needed ASAP please, @NHSEmployers @MattHancock @NHS_HealthEdEng

Let us be clear:
Whilst all of us are not able to take to the streets, United Glasgow FC stands in full solidarity with today’s protests against racism and fascism in #Glasgow.
A city, #united, will never be defeated.

We condemn attempts by far right groups to hi-jack our peaceful protest tonight, which is about the conditions facing people in the asylum system in Glasgow. Our demo has nothing to do with the cenotaph.

Fascinated by this centrist nostalgia. Especially during the BLM protests. If this country ever existed it (it didn't) it certainly didn't exist for everyone.

It is very unsettling to witness apologists for slavery in real time. I see them casually tweet excuses for the sale and purchase and horrifying transport of human beings and I think “my God, I thought I *understood* how it happened, but now I *see*”.

Some centrist Labour MPs have offered more support to a statue of slave trader Edward Colston than they ever have to Diane Abbott, Dawn Butler and other black Labour MPs. Just saying.

Today my office is trawling through all the abusive and racist comments and reporting them to the police. They hide as much of it from me as they can. I know it affects them reading all the vile stuff so I want to publicly say thank you.
& to the racist thugs I wont be silenced.
