Sending heartfelt thanks and warm well wishes to Maryland’s indefatigable Secretary of State Susan Lee upon hearing the news of her resignation for personal reasons. Marylanders are grateful for Susan’s decades of tremendous hard work and devotion, both in the General Assembly and the Executive branch, to the people of the Free State. We wish Susan well in every future endeavor. Congratulations to Michael Lore, my former law student and an exemplary public servant who has worked with Susan for many years, who will be taking over as Acting Secretary of State.

It is a glorious and magical day as America celebrates an historic landslide victory for democracy, freedom and progress for the people. We can also exult in a nationwide repudiation of government by corruption, violence and authoritarianism. And for my family, it is a day for joyful celebration as we greet the arrival at 5:56 am this morning of our second grandchild — our first grandson — who weighs in at 8 pounds and 1 ounce but still has no name. This very smart little boy was clearly just waiting for a Democratic Congress. A new birth in our family, a new birth of freedom, democracy and progress in America.

Raskin: We know that the press is not the enemy of the people. The press is the people's best friend. So you keep holding us to account. And thanks for what you're doing. And Katie Phang, especially thanks to you for fighting hard on the Epstein files to see that truth and justice are both done.

In this momentous election between democracy and freedom on one side and autocracy and corruption on the other, I was proud to travel to Michigan to endorse your next Senator @AbdulElSayed. A noted public health specialist, Dr. El-Sayed is the leader we need in the Senate to bring quality, affordable health care to our people.

This weekend, I crossed the Potomac to travel to Winchester and Front Royal in Virginia’s 6th District to praise and boost Beth Macy @papergirlmacy, who is running strong against the shrinking MAGA base. The author of Dopesick and numerous important works on how right-wing politics is killing working-class communities across America, Beth has crossed over from simply documenting and analyzing right-wing destruction of American society to actively opposing it and organizing to replace it. She’s running a surging and exciting campaign for Congress. Sending Beth to the US House will be like sending other great authors in history to represent the people in government, thought leaders like Ben Franklin and Václav Havel. Another chance for a great breakthrough as organizing creates landslide conditions for change across America.

Team Raskin held a lively pre-election Weekend of Action in two neighboring states. While a large group of fearless road warriors and Democracy Summer Fellows from Maryland’s 8th traveled to York, PA. to knock thousands of doors for our friend @JanelleStelson who is running to unseat Scott Perry in Pennsylvania’s 10th, I traveled South with a smaller group to join renowned author (Dopesick and Paper Girl) and surging Democratic candidate Beth Macy, @papergirlmacy, in Winchester, Virginia yesterday. She’s running a vibrant campaign to unseat a MAGA-loyal Republican in Virginia’s 6th. It was wonderful to get-out-the-vote with her growing multi-partisan throng of supporters who will propel her to victory on November 3rd! Thank you to Winchester, Front Royal and Virginia’s entire 6th district for your warm welcome and to my steadfast Free State supporters who traveled across state lines to help us win back the House and to everyone across America who mobilized for Democratic candidates this weekend. All for one and one for all.

Thrilled to campaign in Nyack, New York with U.S. Army veteran and passionate democracy champion @CaitforNewYork. She’s working to replace the invertebrate MAGA sycophant Mike Lawler and flip New York’s 17th district from MAGA Red to Ocean Blue. The incumbent votes 100% with Trump; Cait Conley will stand up 100% every day for the people of New York. She needs our help before Election Day. Elon Musk and MAGA have poured millions into the frantic effort to beat her and we must turn out the vote in the next 10 days to send Cait to Congress!

Thank you @RebeccaForNJ07! It was thrilling to rally with you and @PeteButtigieg and to interact with the giant movement you’re building in NJ-7 to flip this seat. Thanks for powering the Big Blue Wave. To all my friends in New Jersey, early voting there starts today. Find your polling place at: vote.nj.gov
So grateful for Congressman @jamie_raskin's support in our fight to put people over politics and lead this country with integrity. I’m running to represent every single family in NJ-07, whether you vote for me or not.

Rep. Jamie Raskin tells @askDinaDoll what Democrats will do FIRST if they take back Congress: “First you got to put out the fire that's still going. People are still in danger.” “Millions of people have been thrown off of their health care, their Medicaid, their Affordable Care Act tax credits. We got to restore all of that stuff.” “We've got to stop the bleeding.”

Maryland, it’s a beautiful, spectacular day in the Free State and early voting is open! I cast my ballot this morning at the Silver Spring Civic Building with—and for—@iamwesmoore and @willjawando. The crowd was gigantic and the mood was exuberant—after living through so much dread and fear over the last two years, it’s amazing to feel unity, momentum and optimism for the Democracy! In 12 days the Democrats in Congress are going to win a majority that can start the huge job of cleaning out all the authoritarianism and corruption saturating our government. Marylanders can also vote YES on Question 3 and thereby say NO to Trump’s program of voter suppression and disenfranchisement. You can vote early though October 29th, to pm at any polling place in your county which you can find at: elections.maryland.gov Rock on early voters!

It was exceptionally fun (and chilly) to rally in Cazenovia in upstate New York with my dedicated and public-interested colleague John Mannion, @MannionforNY. The people of New York’s 22nd love John and are going to send him back to Congress on November 3rd. I had the great honor of being introduced at a boisterous evening rally by my long lost pumpkin-farmer cousin Jimmy Golub, a big supporter of John, and he presented me with my own Raskin for Congress pumpkins! It was inspiring to Get-Out-The-Vote with hundreds of fired-up true-blue Democrats of Madison County and to meet some passionate young Democracy Summer fellows participating in the revival, resurgence and renewal of strong Democratic action in rural America. Thank you upstate New York for showing how it’s done.

Yes on 3 is No on Trump. Spread the word. This is our chance to fight back against extreme MAGA gerrymanders from Texas to Florida. Vote Yes on 3 and fight back against Trump.

Happy No Kings Day! I have spent this one campaigning in closely competitive House districts in New York and invited huge crowds to say: “No Kings, No Czars!” As Trump shuts down sanctions against Putin just voted by Congress, as Trump bails out Putin’s war machine with a dirty multi-billion dollar diesel deal and Elon Musk undermines Ukraine’s defenses, through battlefield manipulation of Czar-link, excuse me I meant Starlink, we must reject not only Trump’s imitation authoritarianism but the Russian model back in the home office pulling his strings like an orange puppet doll. No Kings, No Czars!
