ℹ️//TODAY//FIXTURE//NL2 @BillinghamTown v @jarrow_fc Comp: Northern League Division Two Venue: Carters Stadium, TS23 4AG Kick Off: 3pm 📈CURRENT FORM// Billingham Town 1st | LLWWWL - Bowed out of the Vase with a 4-2 loss away at Thornton Cleveleys last Saturday. Tai Saunders and George Wilkinson with the goals as Dan Atkinson and Chris Davidson saw red. They return to league action looking to make it three successive wins. Their last league outing was a 5-1 victory at home to AFC Newbiggin a fortnight ago. Callum Johnson with a brace as Eddie Ormerod, Ashton Houlahan & Ben Jackson also netted. They have a 100% record at home in league action; they have won 8/8 games at Bedford Terrace. They are the division's second highest scorers with 47 goals, only today’s visitors Jarrow have scored more(49). They average 2.76 goals scored per league outing, and have been most potent in the last half an hour of games with 20 league goals coming after the 60th minute mark. Jarrow 3rd | WLLWDW - Their unbeaten league record now stands at 18 games after a 4-0 home win over FC Hartlepool last weekend. A 5th league clean sheet for Kieran Hunter, and goals from debutant Chris McDonald, Aiden Maher, Ryan Hardie & Niall Smith, helped them to the three points. They have the division's only unbeaten record, and have won 7/10 league games on the road, with three draws rounding out their current unblemished NL2 away record. They are jointly the division’s draw specialists with six stalemates - evenly spread home and away. FC Hartlepool also has six draws. They are the division's highest scorers with 49 goals. They average 2.72 goals scored per league outing, and have been most potent in the last fifteen minutes of both halves - with 12 goals coming in both the 31-45+ window & the 76-90+ window. They have yet to concede in the first or last quarter of an hour of any league game so far this season. ⏪THIS SEASON// No previous league meeting this season. 🔙LAST SEASON// Jarra won 2-1 in last season’s corresponding league fixture at Bedford Terrace. Visiting skipper Jack Armstrong opened the scoring on 36 minutes. Lutfur Karim doubled that lead ten minutes into the second half from the penalty spot. Jarra were reduced to ten men as Joe Bates saw red just after the hour mark. Town’s only response came in added time as Charlie Watt netted for 2-1. 🔮OUR PREDICTION// Town boast the division's only 100% home league record, while Jarrow arrive with the division’s only unbeaten side this season. A closely-fought contest looks likely, but Town have used home advantage well so far. We have a feeling a red card or two might turn this one, but… Town 1-1 Jarra Comments, Likes & Reposts are very much appreciated. If you really like our work you could buy us a ko-fi, link in bio! ⚽️

DIVISION TWO//ROUND UP Our look back at the weekend’s eight Division Two games. Here we go! 👇 FRIDAY @AFCNewbiggin v @Prudhoeycfc 📊RESULT// AFC Newbiggin 3-2 Prudhoe YC Seniors Ethan Smith put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes but the visitors were back on terms through Ryan Dougherty’s 21st minute strike. Biggin were back ahead just after the half hour when Smith claimed his second of the game - and 7th league goal of the season. Jack Maughan levelled for the visitors five minutes into the second half before Dan Waldon restored the hosts lead just six minutes later. And that was that. Biggin ended a four league game losing run as they claimed a fourth home league of the season. The three points saw end the weekend in 6th place. Seniors fell to an 8th away league loss of the campaign. They have now lost four on the bounce in league action. They stayed in 19th place - seven points away from safety. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 2-1 home win so we can be reasonably happy with the one goal margin of victory for the hosts. Next @Synthonia v @StokesleySCFC 📊RESULT// Billingham Synthonia 1-1 Stokesley SC The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes through Mikey Bulmer. Synners were level on 56 minutes as Harry Healy netted his fourth of the season to make it 1-1. Stokesley’s Cole Stephenson was sent off on 73 minutes - their first red card of the season. But it ended level with a bit of fulltime handbags. Synners claimed a second home league draw of the season to end a three game losing run at home in league action. The point saw them remain in 11th place. Stokesley were also a non-mover as they recorded a fourth away league draw of the campaign. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 3-2 home win, so were a little ambitious on the goals front but a close game nonetheless. Like, really close. Hard to be closer to be fair. Next @SeahamRedStar v @SunderlandRCA 📊RESULT// Seaham Red Star 1-2 Sunderland RCA Dom Moan’s first league goal of the season gave the visitors a 27th minute lead. RCA doubled their lead four minutes into the second half, Kyle Fryatt slotted home. Red Star pulled a goal back as Josh Houghton claimed his 8th league goal of the campaign to make it 2-1 but that was as good as it got for the hosts. Seaham ended the weekend in XX place after they fell to a fourth home league defeat of the season. RCA continued their ‘win one, lose one’ sequence as they claimed a fourth awayday league victory of the season. They stayed in 16th place despite the three points. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 4-2 home win - so just the three Star goals shy. SATURDAY @AlnwickTownAFC v @SeatonCarewFC 📊RESULT// Alnwick Town 0-0 Seaton Carew Goalless at the break. Drew Lake’s second red card of the season reduced the visitors to 10 men - their seventh red of the campaign, the most of any Division Two side. Goalless at fulltime. Alnwick ended a four game losing run with a third home league draw of the season. That was a 7th league game in which they failed to score as they stayed in 15th place. Seaton failed to score for a fifth league game as they finished the weekend in 8th place - down one despite a point from their second awayday stalemate of the campaign. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 3-2 away win so five goals went missing. Next @DarloTownFC v @Towlawtown 📊RESULT// Darlington Town 0-3 Tow Law Town Dean Thexton gave the visitors a halftime lead with a superb 44th minute dinked finished after running clear. The Lawyers were two up four minutes into the second half as Callum Guy scored in very similar fashion to Thexton’s opener. . Kurt Matthews’ 74th minute back post header from a corner sealed the points for the visitors at 3-0. Darlington failed to score for only the fourth league game as they suffered a fourth league loss as their six game unbeaten league run ended. They moved down a spot to 7th place. Tow Law remained in 4th place as they claimed a fifth successive league win as Dan Staples recorded his 6th league shutout. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 2-2 draw. Ah well. Win some, lose some, but apparently draw less. Next @jarrow_fc v @FC_Hartlepool 📊RESULT// Jarrow 4-0 FC Hartlepool Jarra were ahead just after the half hour, Aiden Maher’s third goal of the season made it 1-0. Experienced new signing Chris McDonald claimed a debut goal to make it 2-0 to the hosts on 79 minutes. A late double put a gloss on the result for the hosts as Ryan Hardie(89) and Niall Smith(90+3) wrapped things up at 4-0. Jarrow moved up to 2nd place after a 5th league clean sheet for Kieran Hunter in Jarra colours helped them to a 5th league victory at Perth Green for the season. Their unbeaten league record now stands at 18 games. FC Hartlepool failed to score for the fourth time in league action as they fell to a fourth away league loss of the campaign. They ended the weekend in 13th place - down one. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 2-1 home win so at least we got the correct outcome. Small mercy. Next @NewcastleUniAFC v @CestrianTweet 📊RESULT// Newcastle University 2-1 Chester le Street Town Daniel Kemp’s fourth minute goal put the Uni ahead. The hosts were 2-0 up when Stephen Pennington netted on 68 minutes. Jay Barber pulled a goal back for the Cestrians with ten to play but that was as good as it got for the visitors. The Uni returned to winning ways as they claimed a fourth home league victory of the season. The three points saw them jump three places to 10th. The Cestrians ended the weekend in 12th place as their unbeaten league run ended at five games, after a fifth awayday league defeat of the campaign. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 2-1 away win, and the students taught us a lesson as they reverse that to claim the points. Next @RACAFC1970 v @GrangetownBC 📊RESULT// Ryton & Crawcrook Albion 1-0 Grangetown Boys Club Goalless at the break. Evann Jardine broke the deadlock with a 63rd minute goal - his first league goal of the season - as he guided a precise finish into the top corner. And that goal proved enough to earn all three points for the hosts as Callum Corkhill claimed his fifth league clean sheet of the campaign. Ryton claimed a successive league victory with a 6th league win of the season at the Oldhaulage. They moved up a place to 8th. Boysie ended the weekend still in 17th place as they lost for the first time in three. A 7th away league defeat of the campaign came after a 6th league blank - only Prudhoe YC Seniors(11) & Alnwick Town(7) have failed to score in more league games. 🔮PREDICTION// We predicted a 2-1 home win so a mini self-pat on the back for the correct outcome by a one goal margin.
