The government has until December to decide whether to pull the NHS out of its £330m contract with Palantir - a US spy-tech firm that has facilitated genocide in Gaza.
Andy Burnham needs to pick a side. We have picked ours.
I will never be deterred from speaking out against Palantir, which should have no place in our public services whatsoever.
Kick Palantir out!

This isn't over. One day, there will be an inquiry into Britain's complicity in genocide - and we will remember those who tried to get in the way of the truth.

In blocking this inquiry, the Government is not just covering for the complicity of its predecessors. It is hiding its own ongoing complicity in the greatest crime of our time. Just like Iraq, we will remember those who obstructed the path to justice, writes Jeremy Corbyn ✍️
We have just experienced our hottest summer on record.
It is unfathomable that the government would approve another gas field in the midst of a climate emergency.
The government has put the profits of fossil fuel giants over the future of our children. Beyond shameful.
We deserve to know exactly what military, economic and political support this country has provided to Israel.
The last government did everything it could to hide Britain’s complicity in genocide. Why is this government following in its footsteps?

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has rejected calls for an independent public inquiry into Britain’s involvement in Israel’s military operations in Gaza, following a request from former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Corbyn called for a full, public investigation into UK military, political and economic cooperation with Israel since October 2023. He argues that the inquiry is needed to establish accountability and transparency over Britain’s actions.
However, the British government maintains that existing parliamentary debates, ministerial statements and committee investigations provide sufficient scrutiny.

Andy Burnham has blocked Jeremy Corbyn’s call for a public inquiry into Britain's role in Gaza.
“We will never give up until we have brought about justice for the Palestinian people,” the former Labour leader said.
In light of the move, we've taken a look back at Corbyn's demands for an independent inquiry into the UK's complicity with Israel's genocide:

Andy Burnham has rejected Jeremy Corbyn’s call for an inquiry to be held into the UK’s complicity in the Gaza genocide.
The former Labour leader wrote to the prime minister in July, calling on him to back a Chilcot-style inquiry to examine military cooperation with and arms sales to Israel since October 2023..
The government rejected that call in response to a written question in parliament on Monday, arguing there were “extensive mechanisms already available for parliamentary accountability and oversight”.
Burnham has continued the policy of his predecessor Keir Starmer by allowing the sale of military equipment to Israel, in defiance of widespread calls for a full arms embargo, including by UN experts.
Military flights to Israel from UK bases have also continued since Burnham became prime minister.
Starmer’s government decided to suspend 30 arms export sales to Israel in September 2025, but the UK continues to send components of F35 fighter jets, which have been used to bomb Gaza.
A UN commission found earlier this year that Israel is committing genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children. Israel has killed more than 70,000 civilians in the territory since 2023.
The Chilcot inquiry was a years-long investigation into Tony Blair’s decision to go to war in Iraq. As an MP, Burnham was among those who voted in favour of the invasion, which led to hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths.
Burnham has sought to distinguish himself from Starmer by saying Labour “got it wrong” on Gaza. His government has also announced sanctions on illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
“Andy Burnham rightly said that the last Labour government 'got it wrong' over Gaza,” Corbyn wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “But his words will mean very little if he doesn't break with the last government's shameful record of complicity, secrecy and evasion.”
He added: “Delaying scrutiny will not make questions about British complicity in genocide disappear.”
Since September, the Saudi war in Yemen has displaced at least 130,000 people from their homes. A staggering 17 million people face hunger.
Britain's support for this catastrophic war - and its complicity in horrendous suffering - must end. Where is the strategy for peace?

NEW: Andy Burnham has officially rejected Jeremy Corbyn's call for a public inquiry into "British complicity" in Gaza.
The former Labour leader wrote to the PM in July asking him to back his Private Member's Bill for a Chilcot-style inquiry, which would look at any UK military, economic or political cooperation with Israel since October 2023.
This would include the power to question ministers on the supply or use of weapons, surveillance aircraft and Royal Air Force bases.
The idea was rejected by Starmer. The govt have confirmed in response to a written question today that their position remains unchanged under Burnham, saying an inquiry isn't necessary due to the "extensive mechanisms already available for parliamentary accountability and oversight".
Corbyn said:“Andy Burnham rightly said that the last Labour government “got it wrong” over Gaza. But his words will mean very little if he doesn’t break with the last government’s shameful record of complicity, secrecy and evasion.
"Many of us will remember in the aftermath of Iraq, the government of the day spent many years resisting attempts to uncover the truth. In the end, they could not prevent the inevitable. Just like Iraq, we will remember those who obstructed the path to justice."
