I don’t wanna “build software” so much as build understanding and express it in software.

The concern about AI-generated code is that the quality is worse. However, @jessitron thinks that when we use AI to develop better features rather than build faster, the ceiling isn’t our imagination. It’s the development system we build around the agent. honeycomb.io/blog/our-limits…

This is really cool. We can have nice things. Also Richard is a great writer
We got an exciting result and I wrote about it! rtfeldman.com/fp-vs-c

you haven't delivered a capability to people if you haven't also delivered it to agents.

Today I have learned: with Claude Managed Agents, do not attempt to define them in the UI. There's a cli for that, and it offers options that don't exist in the UI. And of course, you can make claude code work it for you

To get aligned with agents, I make them build me a fancy HTML description of what they're thinking. Then I tweak it and comment on it until we both know what we're about. Here's my iterate-on-docs skill, plus a tool that makes this work with HTML. github.com/jessitron/iterate…

A friend of mine got moved to a redeye flight, so he needed to tell the hotel he'd arrive early in the morning. He got Claude to do it. > it found the reservation in my email and pulled the hotel contact info from their website 😁 > oh actually it found the hotel manager’s personal email address on LinkedIn 😩 "Done is done, the manager said it's taken care of"

The details of the latest framework: "I have to learn those things -- well maybe I don't, because I have Claude Code do that part." He gets to spend his learning effort on the deeper principles.

k, I gotta say, since @bouhmad and @Cloudflare fixed my account, I'm super glad to be using Cloudflare Workers. They're awesome! It does everything I want, all my routing, with tracing. Serves a static site too. amazing Free for my purposes, but take my $5/month you deserve it

Agents don't like fixing the build--they LOVE it. @jezhumble #ldx3

I wanted to use Cloudflare workers today, I was excited to try it. It fails with "verify your email address [10034]" and I verified that years ago, there's no way to redo it (change email is also broken) Their help bot also fails with "verify your email address" I guess it's back to AWS lambda for me

Can we use AI to be smarter about in-app notifications? When do I want to know about the changes you've made? (hint: almost never) Certainly not when it's my first time in the app. opening any app is a gauntlet of popups. Can we be smarter?

I report (again) that software is magic: express your intentions well enough, and the world works that way. and AI-that-writes-software is better magic: express my intentions clearly enough in English, and the world works that way. At least a little piece of the world. "I want to learn mermaid diagramming" "let me create an interactive playground for exactly your needs"
