.@jonronson’s new book, The Castle, is absolutely insane in all the best ways.
The opening chapter alone is inspired by a true story that actually happened to his son. He got lured to a giant medieval castle that would make Dracula look modest. His son was under the impression it was a party until the castle owner said he wanted the women with him to participate in a fake reality show called "101 Princesses," and it only gets more crazy from there when Jon decides to check it out for himself:
“So I go to the castle… he says a couple of unwise things about how he brings women to the castle and adapts them to his lifestyle, and so on. Then he clearly regrets saying unwise things to a journalist, because he gets out a piece of paper for me to sign, and it's an NDA. So I say no. And so he puts the NDA back, and I notice he has a whole pile of NDAs in his kitchen. So who else was he getting to sign them, and why?”
