I ask runners why they run. 500 episodes later, that question is a business: @forthelrpod, @longrunlabs & a 35-show endurance network. Chasing 100 miles.

Someone at an industry conference asked me what I do, and I gave him a list.
Podcast. Network. Newsletter. Consulting. Investing. Fundraising.
I watched him decide whether I was very good at many things or not finishing any of them.
Here's the answer I couldn't produce that day.
Endurance sport has no centralized trade press. No research firm. No smart money. Billions of dollars move through this sport, and the people building the companies have almost none of what operators in a grown-up industry take for granted.
That gap is what I've been building into, one piece at a time. Two shows (@forthelrpod and @longrunlabs) and a 35-show network of independent creators, where I handle sponsorship and strategy so they can spend their time making the show instead of selling it. Research for brands who want to know whether a sponsorship actually worked. I just ran 2,200 prompts across five AI models to find out how endurance brands get discovered, because every brand I asked was guessing.
Angel checks and introductions to capital for founders, because there are more good founders in this sport than there is smart money.
And a room for the people solving all of this alone (@findmyhuddle).
If you're building in endurance, outdoor, or health, I want to hear about it.
If you're buying media/signing sponsorships, I'd love to share how the properties I work with can help you do so more efficiently.
If you're trying to figure out who to trust in this category, I'd love to introduce you to them.

It’s too early to launch Black Friday deals this week. The whole point is a *LIMITED TIME* offer intended to create action.
When it’s the whole month, you’re just degrading perceived value.
Dude at the urinal next to me pulled his pants down all the way to the floor.
Welcome to New York indeed.

My conversation with Tyler Denk (@denk_tweets).
Tyler is the co-founder and CEO of @beehiiv, a platform helping creators and independent publishers build, grow, and monetize their newsletters.
We discuss the secrets to building a successful startup, why storytelling is one of the most important skills a founder can have, and how creators are turning niche audiences into million-dollar media businesses.
We also discuss:
- Why the best startups begin by solving a niche problem
- How Beehiiv builds and ships products so quickly
- Why creators don't need massive audiences to build profitable businesses
- How AI could disrupt the economics of digital media
- How losing his co-founder shaped his approach to leadership and entrepreneurship
Enjoy!

I had the privilege of seeing the bulk of this training block unfold, as Amanda stayed with me in Boulder for it. I saw the doubts, the confidence, the peak week, and everything in between, and it led to one of the best convos I've had on the pod yet.

Headed to NYC to watch a bunch of people run around the five boroughs in partnership with @CEPCOMPRESSION and an “Arrive Ready” campaign with a few other podcasters via @LongRunLabs podcast network!
We’re doing a panel and group run all about the part of racing many people forget to plan for: the travel day!
Compression socks are always a part of my race travel so that I don’t arrive with my legs feeling flat and tired before the race even starts!
If you’re in NYC this weekend, let me know, and I’ll drop a link to the event below! – at Boulder, CO

I too am seeking a Rivian via the Buy Nothing Boulder fb group but I need it for more than 10 mins please don’t ask questions
I’ve had not one but THREE people reach out this week to ask for a paid hour of consulting to talk about podcasting and how to grow an online footprint.
Fun stuff!

My dad explained compound interest to me when I was 10. That one conversation shaped every money decision I've made since.
Most athletes never get that conversation. Beau Riggs, a wealth advisor who runs a pro triathlon team, says talking about money is vulnerable in a way that most people don't seem to be comfortable with. So people skip it.
Who taught you about money, if anyone?
