Thank you @jessphillips for reading the names of women killed by male suspects in the last year.
There are still far too many. We need to see urgent action from leaders across government and all public agencies to tackle violence against women & girls and prevent future deaths.

I applaud Kate Kniveton for her strength and fortitude throughout the gruelling Family Court process.
We need wholesale reform so that the Family Court can keep all survivors and their children safe.

Very important thread below on how headlines on crime stats can be misleading - particularly when it comes to violent crime against women! Thank you for highlighting @robertcuffe
“Crime has fallen by 50%” says @ukhomeoffice @RishiSunak @Conservatives based on the headline official measure of crime in England and Wales.
But that excludes harassment, stalking and sexual assault (yes, even rape).
ALT Barchart showing prevalence of violent crime, domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking and harassment. Violent crime is the only one of these crimes that men experience more and the only one fully included in the headline measure: the total number of crimes experienced last year.
