Of all the damning statistics around Leeds' final third play this season, the one that sticks out is that of the 96 teams in Europe's big-five leagues, Leeds rank 95th for final third passing accuracy (56.9%); just in the Premier League, they are 20th. #lufc

Most of Leeds’ passing stopped short of the penalty box. Of our 99 passes in the final third, 45% went backwards. A testament to Bournemouth's structure as well as Leeds' decision-making. When Leeds got the ball into dangerous areas, we recycled it rather than attacking the box.

Only 3/42 of Leeds' completed passes into the final third went through the centre (23 right, 16 left). Bournemouth sat compact and made 33/76 defensive actions in their own third centrally, so Leeds were pushed wide. Bournemouth were comfortable defending Leeds' deliveries.

This is really interesting. Leeds' were causing Bournemouth all sorts of problems in the opening 30 minutes, but look at the structure and balance after the first goal. Night and day.

Leeds' xG against Bournemouth was updated to 0.71 after the data refresh. We managed just one shot on-target in 90 minutes and had one goal chalked off. 0.29 xG in the second half is woeful.

DF: "Disappointed. Football is brutal sometimes. One goal can be decisive. We would have deserved so much more. Terrific first 30 minutes. Scored one of the best team goals of the season. Bournemouth big problems with us." #lufc

Rose: "Good team. Even if they change players, they get better. Top coach, good approach. Hard to play against. We suffered. Got lucky with the disallowed goal. I got used to the PL and I have learnt how close everything is. Quite sure they are going to collect many points" #lufc

Tarik Muharemović has made more than twice the amount of headed clearances of any other Leeds player in 2026/27. #LUFC

Anton Stach and Ethan Ampadu head up the numbers for the most final third touches for Leeds in 2026/27. Centre-back James Justin having more final third touches than Dominic Calvert-Lewin this campaign is wild. #LUFC

Here is Dominic Calvert-Lewin's touch map. Just 26 of his 238 touches this campaign have been made in the penalty box (14 of these have been shots). He works tirelessly for the team, but would also ideally love to see him getting on the receiving end of more balls into the box.

Bizzare stat opportunity this weekend. Sean Longstaff could become the very first Leeds player to score in three consecutive appearances against Bournemouth in the club's history. One to watch. #LUFC
