Since 1918 at every general election more men have been elected than women. @CentenaryAction's graph shows that whilst progress has been made & we now have 263 women MPs we still need 62 more for a #GenderEqualParliament #AskHerToStand

🫶 Community spirit at its best! @MargateWi raised £820 for The Garden Gate Project through a pop-up dinner. With the help of local businesses, they created a seasonal feast that supports mental health and disability initiatives. 🍂🌱

When our mermaids make the headlines…
Our members were interviewed by the lovely folk at @bbcsoutheast today.
Why?
Tune in tonight to find out!
Our members had a brilliant time taking part in the #MostWutheringHeightsDayEver at @theovalct9 in #Margate today. Lovely to hear it raised over £2k for good causes including @OasisDAService.

Join our members and help @KeepBritainTidy mark their 70th birthday in 2024 by making a pledge to take part in the #GBSpringClean. We have taken the #PlatinumPledge to spend at least 70 mins litter picking & aim to fill 50 bags. Wish us luck!

You don’t need to wear a cape to be a #LitterHero! All you need to get started is a pair of gloves, a litter-picker, and a desire to improve the environment on your doorstep.

On #InternationalWomensDay, our own @AOgdenNewton OBE explains how we're carrying on the legacy of those original #LitterHeroes.
Today is International Women’s Day and we could not be prouder to be featured in the Spring edition of the @margatemercury this year. 🧜♀️🧜♀️🧜♀️

Thanks to all our members for always being supportive of each other, & for all women who act as role models & mentors to lift others up. Being brilliant isn't restricted to one day (this is 365 days a year!), but nevertheless let's recognise #InternationalWomensDay & the value of our wonderful movement - from the local to the national stage. #IWD
