The band recently shared these photos from the Time Machines North America Tour, along with a note from Tyler Lyle: "When it came time to build out my own synth library, my first purchase was a Moog Grandmother because nothing else sounds like a Moog. That synth can do everything I want it to, but more importantly, it sounds like a Moog. So do my later additions, the Subsequent 37 and the Model D. My band has played these machines around the world, and we'll be playing one on stage tonight. Over the years, they have become trusted friends in my studio. There is no substitute for an original, and nothing else sounds like it. It was love at first 'Bwaaaamp.'"

What does a synthesizer concerto sound like? 🎼 Check out this excerpt from the Synthesizer Concerto world premier by @gprokofiev - performed by Casa da Música + soloist Inna Faliks on a Minimoog Model D. In this section the Minimoog has a driving melody that references both early acid house and classical music. Inna adjusts the Filter to increase the drama, then at the end of the clip, the 1st violins produce an imitation of a synth pitch-bend, giving Inna time to reprogram the sound of the synth. July 10, 1970 — 56 years ago today, the Moog Model I-CA was shipped to Keith Emerson. That instrument would become one of the most iconic modular synthesizers in music history, helping define the sound and spectacle of progressive rock. Its legacy was later preserved by the late Gene Stopp, a beloved Moog engineer and synthesizer expert who dedicated years to restoring, maintaining, and recreating Keith Emerson's legendary modular system. Gene also led Moog's efforts to reintroduce our modular synthesizers years later, ensuring these instruments could continue inspiring generations of artists and explorers.
