shared in TG this morning, maybe helpful for some:
gmgm, hope everyone is doing well - some thoughts on position size during such high volatility moves:
last 3 days are one to remember and take notes off as (ofc not in this extent) this is a pretty repeating pattern in markets
elections tend to be noisy anyways and most likely, if you see harsh downside into one, there is a relief bounce because of hedge unwinds + MARKET TEND TO LIKE CLARITY - so 50/50 elections are rather uncertain, afterwards more clarity = more chance for relief
(still a bit mad at me for falling asleep and not being able to capitalize on a relatively easy move towards 80k)
once this move is exhausted its time for you to re evaluate the situation, in my opinion
• was this a clearing event? will we continue its move or still a chance both sides get rolled over
• look for LIS on charts, it makes it so much easier for your head to not be stuck in a bias, ESPECIALLY during such high volatility (5k moves a day NEVER should catch you offguard on high leverage, don't give the market the chance to humble your pnl curve insanely bad)
• thursday coming and I was very much interested to see what happens, first few minutes flow selloff gives you a hint that if this wasn't to bounce soon (like within first 10mins of session) we probably roll over both sides, CHECK LIQUIDITY
• BTC books were as thin as not in a long time and still are compromised as we speak, NOT a time you want high leverage on, rather really tight stops with trend eventually or pairs needed, but even those are risky if you get insane unbalances —> size down on futures
here we are, if you believe in the AI trade those prices are interesting - especially on such volume records you usually are close to bottoms or tops if generally correct on thesis (personally no opinion)
$BTC thoughts, gameplan etc. later on stream around NYO
another entertaining day in the markets
hope everyone reading this is fine but realistically anyone with crypto experience should be in a position to make money out of this global liquidation event today
be grateful, glhf

update: monero:native dominance up only
lesson: you can really size up in such trades if CT is that quiet on a coin with such an HTF chart/trend in it
the hedge against cybersecurity issues (until it gets exploited lmao)

Spread out your capital to a bunch of different wallets and exchanges. Talked about this 2 years ago or so, but it's even more important now with all of the exploits. Super obvious thing to do, but I still know many that concentrate their capital in just a couple places. If I can just save 1 follower from getting rekt, it's worth tweeting about it.
another good day to be pair trading around MSTR still having a premium over bitcoin:native
mNAV sub 1 and I'm done with this trade but for now this continues to offer decent R/R setups especially into opens
