The problem with knowing how the world works, the dark & utterly depressing side of it all.. is that it can make you lose your hope, & blind you from the beauty that surrounds you Finding a balance of accepting the truth, but not letting it steal your joy is hard, but important

It’s really odd to me when people talk about cosleeping like it’s some weird terrible thing. Like, no actually I love cuddling with my tiny babe who feels like my arms are the safest place in the world. You don’t? That’s what’s weird.

I mean if it’s not for you, it’s not for you… but it works great for many of us.

“Oh man he sleeps with you, ugh that’s rough.” For who? I sleep fantastic.

If Covid taught me anything it’s to worry when they say to not worry, and to wonder what they are trying to distract me from when they say it’s time to worry.

Absolutely insane to me that it’s even possible to immigrate to a country knowing you’re going to sign up for welfare. How is this even a question. Just no.

At 10 AM, US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld held a press conference and announced that the Pentagon has “lost track of” $2.3 trillion, which is “unaccounted for.” He goes on to highlight a number of other glaring inefficiencies in the Department of Defense.

I don’t really understand the “look how cheaply I fed my family” posts… ok, so you got the absolute lowest quality meat you could find at Walmart and are flexing about it? I feed my family grass fed local meat, organic fruits, veggies, make things from scratch and focus on th highest quality food we can source. I don’t know how much this plate costs, but I know it’s the most nutrient dense and healthy foods I can find for my family. Because their health matters. We buy our meat in bulk and save money that way. But also, health is the absolute most important gift I can give my family. And to me that’s a way bigger flex.

And before anyone comes at me about what people can and can’t afford, we prioritize healthy food over most other things. I don’t get my hair or nails done, we don’t go out to eat that often, we don’t buy fancy items, but we eat damn good.

I got some of those high rise capri linen pants the cute girls are wearing. Asked my husband how they looked on me… he said they confused him and they were kind of kung fu looking. So, I’ve got that going for me.

Ah yes, Loudoun County VA… where they hire a woman who thinks she’s a cat to *checks notes* help kids navigate mental health.

Most conventional dish soaps contain up to 19 ingredients, including synthetic colors and fragrances. Ours is made with as few as four — including pure distilled water — and never artificial scents or dyes. Simple. Clean. Rooted in purity. rootednordic.bigcartel.com/?…

Longtime bitcoin dev @jamesob made cktripwire.com, which tracks intentionally-vulnerable decoy honeypot wallets with keys generated on Coldcards. Multisig wallets composed of keys from three Coldcards have so far remained intact for over a week. xitter.cf/unchained/status/20876…

1/ Multisig has helped protect 1000s of BTC during the Coldcard incident, and the reasons might surprise you. Here are a few ways multisig offered protection beyond the simple redundancy of multiple keys:

If you’re looking for a soap with great ingredients, and that actually cleans well, check out @RootedNordic soaps. Small business making high quality products. Have been using their dish soap for a couple weeks now and have been really impressed. It’s replaced our previous liquid dish soap.

My solid dish soap does so much more than dishes. I cook, a lot. Just a couple swirls of the brush on the puck loads enough soap to break through the tallow, butter and olive oil on my stove top, loosens boil-overs, and rinses so clean with a wet cloth.🌿 rootednordic.bigcartel.com/?…
