CIET-NCERT successfully concluded a 3-day vetting workshop (4-6 November, 2026) dedicated for strengthening Virtual Labs in teaching - Learning of Mathematics on the DIKSHA platform.
Resource Teachers from Kendriya Vidyalayas contributed to refine and review the interactive, curriculum-aligned virtualreality resources. These free digital resources are designed to bring complex mathematical concepts to life, making experiential learning accessible to every student in India.
The valedictory session was addressed by Prof. Amarendra P. Behera, Joint Director, Prof. Shireesh Pal Singh, Head, DICTand TD, CIET-NCERT.
Dr. Praveen Bobby Binjha Programme Coordinator, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks and appreciation to all participating teachers for their invaluable contributions towards shaping better learning environments.

Capacity Building programme on ‘Digital Pedagogy’ for Master Trainers from SCERT and DIET Faculty of States/UTs was organised by CIET-NCERT during 02-06 November, 2026.
The programme focused on key areas like Digital Education Initiatives in School Education, OER, Multimedia-Based Teaching and Learning, Innovative Pedagogies, AI in Teaching and Learning, Gamification and Game-Based Learning, Virtual Labs Simulation and Immersive Learning, Collaborative and Social Learning in Digital Environments, Personalised and Adaptive Learning, Cyber Safety, Audio and Video Recording, exposure to Experiential Lab, Virtual Lab and RVSK.
While addressing the participants, Prof. Amarendra P. Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT, highlighted five thrust areas for the effective use of technology in education. He emphasized that technology integration must be an essential component of pre-service teacher education, ensuring meaningful integration of Content, Pedagogy and Technology to prepare future teachers for technology-enabled teaching and learning.
Prof. Shreeish Pal Singh, Head, DICT & TD, CIET-NCERT emphasised that effective policy implementation and practical experience are essential to achieving the desired goals. He highlighted that the true success of a programme lies in sharing and disseminating the acquired knowledge to others, creating a wider impact.
The programme, coordinated by Dr. Angel Rathnabai, benefited 42 participants from 15 states and UTs.

The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, organised a five-day face-to-face workshop on 'Development of Online Course Manuscript on Open Educational Resources (OER)' from 02 to 06 November 2026 at CIET-NCERT, in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL)– Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), New Delhi.
The workshop was organised with the objective of developing the online courses for teachers, teacher educators and school heads.
The sessions focused on reviewing, updating and refining the draft course manuscript. Through collaborative process and academic deliberations, the module writers worked towards organising and customising the modules content in accordance with the revamped NISHTHA framework, ensuring coherence, quality and pedagogical relevance across the course.
During the workshop, Prof. Shireesh Pal Singh, Head, DICT & TD, CIET-NCERT, interacted with the module writers and sought updates on the progress made towards finalising their respective modules. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Angel Rathnabai, Associate Professor, CIET-NCERT, New Delhi.

Five-Day Script Writing Workshop Concludes at CIET-NCERT
The Media Production Division, CIET-NCERT, organised a five-day Script Writing Workshop (2–6 November 2026) for developing e-content for Grade 9 English (Kaveri) and Mathematics (Ganita Manjari).
Conducted under the guidance of Prof. Amarendra P. Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT, and coordinated by Prof. Sarayug Yadav (English) and Dr. Jaganmohana Rao (Mathematics), the workshop concluded with a valedictory session graced by Prof. Bharti Kaushik, Head, Media Production Division, and Prof. Rajendra Pal, Project Coordinator, CIET-NCERT.
Resource persons from KVS, NVS, SCERTs and other institutions, along with NIE-NCERT subject experts and the media production team, collaborated to develop engaging scripts for Audio-Visual Programmes and Personalised Adaptive Learning (PAL).
The workshop promoted inclusive, interactive and learner-centric digital resources aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023.

The Two-Day Workshop on “𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬” concluded on 4 November 2026 at CIET–NCERT, New Delhi.
The workshop was organised to review, refine and finalise the research tools developed for the study “Assess the Impact of Multiple Digital Education Modes on Learning across School Stages in Alignment with NEP 2020.”
On Day 2, experts reviewed the research tools and provided suggestions for improving their clarity, relevance and suitability for different stages of school education. The discussions focused on incorporating necessary revisions and ensuring alignment with the study objectives and research questions.
The workshop concluded with the finalisation of research tools for data collection across the four stages of school education.
The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Shireesh Pal Singh, Head, DICT & Training Division, CIET–NCERT.

Day 1 | Pre-Service ICT Training Programme
The first day of the Pre-Service ICT Training Programme for M.Ed. Students of the Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University, commenced at NCERT on 2 November 2026.
The day featured an inaugural session, an orientation on internship design and programme objectives, and insights into digital education initiatives. Participants also visited audio-video studios, graphic units, the Experiential Learning Centre, HP VR Lab and RVSK, followed by a session on writing scripts for video programmes.
A meaningful beginning towards strengthening ICT skills and exploring technology-enabled teaching and learning!

NISHTHA Modules on Mental Health and Well-being in Schools Launched!
The Manodarpan Cell, Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations of Education (DEPFE), NCERT, in collaboration with DoSE&L, MoE, Government of India, launched NISHTHA modules to strengthen mental health awareness and promote well-being in schools on 4 November 2026 at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi.
The modules were launched by Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director, NCERT, and Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi, Additional Secretary, DoSE&L, MoE. Dr. Amarpreet Duggal, Joint Secretary, MoE, and Prof. Vinod Kumar Shanwal, In-charge, Manodarpan Cell, NCERT, were also present.
During the one-day workshop on “Awareness and Sensitisation on Mental Health and Well-being in Schools,” Prof. Saklani highlighted teachers' role in identifying early signs of emotional distress and creating safe, caring and inclusive school environments, in line with NEP 2020.
The programme featured the screening of “Bano Digital Smart” (DoSE&L–UNESCO collaboration), best practices from Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura, and presentations on NEP and Manodarpan initiatives by Prof. Vinod Kumar Shanwal.
The launch marks an important step towards strengthening mental health and well-being in schools.

An online live session on NCERT PM e-VIDYA-ULLAS channel no. 14 was organised from 11:00AM-11.30AM on 04th November, 2026 on the topic 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲’. The expert was Dr. Atul Gautam, Assistant Professor, Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
The expert explained how different communities in India can contribute in achieving literacy and how their experiences can act as a knowledge repository. He emphasised on skill development, sustainable development, digital literacy, financial literacy and contribution of Samajik Chetna Kendras under ULLAS which tap the potential of local resources and contextualise them for achieving and sustaining literacy.

A three-day workshop on Piloting Practice-Based Modules for PM SHRI School Heads was organised by the Department of Teacher Education (DTE), NCERT, (Coordinator) from 2–4 November 2026 at SBI Auditorium, NCERT, New Delhi.
The initial session had with insights from Prof. Sharad Sinha, Head, DTE, NCERT, the workshop brought together 25 Heads of PM SHRI Schools from Delhi and Haryana, along with Heads of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalayas and Delhi Government Schools.
Six practice-based modules were piloted, covering curriculum, pedagogy, infrastructure, leadership, inclusion, governance and beneficiary satisfaction.
Through interactive reviews, discussions and experience-sharing, participants provided valuable feedback to strengthen the modules and enhance their practical applicability.
The faculty members of the Department shared the module contents with the Principals /Heads.
The workshop concluded with a renewed vision for implementation of the PMshri initiatives and appreciation by Head DTE, to the participating school authorities for the value addition to the piloting exercise.
