After our latest release, we're back to pushing nanocoder's development. We now have 150 open issues to work through!
Nanocoder v1.32.0 is out and it's a big one.
39 contributors, including 20 first-timers, helped make this release happen. We've added a headless PR reviewer, CI watcher, voice mode, a built-in browser tool, plugins and much more.
Here's what's new:
Reliability and security improvements:
- MCP servers are health-checked and reconnect with backoff.
- fetch_url blocks private and metadata addresses.
- Project .env files can no longer mark their own folders as trusted.
- Trust prompts now list the hooks, plugins, and MCP servers a folder will run.
- Faster startup with lazy-loaded dependencies.
The ACP agent and VS Code extension also received major improvements
Huge thanks to all 39 contributors, especially the 20 first-timers.
Update now:

october was quite a month for open source :)
here's everything i've been working on across OSS:
- cognee: fixed Chinese query skill gating (the maintainer literally said, "I would have never thought about that bug happening ever"), added pgvector HNSW indexing, and shipped 4 connectors for RSS, Trello, SonarQube, and Smartsheet.
- vercel labs (fx): fixed Zig SSE stream framing when OpenAI endpoints disconnect without a [DONE] sentinel.
- nanocoder (@nano_collective): enabled default streaming token usage for OpenAI endpoints, fixed VS Code diff collisions, and improved CLI startup time.
- @documenso : found and patched a webhook SSRF bypass involving IPv4-compatible IPv6 addresses.
- monocode: added remote SSH GitHub inbox support and turn-completion token telemetry.
- roster: fixed Windows path separator issues and VFS git command execution.
→ litellm: added proxy test fallbacks to prevent CLI startup crashes.
a lot of debugging, reading codebases, fixing edge cases, and learning from maintainers along the way.
honestly, OSS is one of the best ways to get better at engineering.
on to november. :)
Nanocoder is active again! We've created so many good issues for the community and the same goes for our other projects.
This is the best time to start contributing to Nano Collective. 🚀
