The @NASAWebb telescope recently spotted stars brewing in this cosmic cauldron. This region of toil and trouble, named N159, is 161,000 light-years from Earth, in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Have you put up your Halloween decor? The night sky will add the finishing touch. 🌕 October’s full moon, named the Hunter’s Moon, will rise on the night of Oct. 26. Its name comes from the seasonal practice of hunters relying on bright moonlight.

Ahh… blue lagoon 🏖️ This deep-blue sea of gas and dust—called Messier 8 or the Lagoon Nebula—is a hotbed of star formation. The young stars within the nebula emit rays of high-energy light, including X-rays shown in pink by @chandraxray.

That's our jam 🎼 Astronomers used @ChandraXray to find out that this radio wave formation, known as the "Treble Clef" thanks to its distinctive shape, was likely caused by an outburst from a supermassive black hole, followed by a collision of two galaxy clusters.
