📢New Found Gold Announces Queensway Gold Project Revised PEA and Updated MRE: After-Tax NPV Increases to $1.7 B with 126% IRR; Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource Increases by 38% With stronger economics and an expanded resource base, Queensway is fully funded to become Canada’s next mid-tier gold producer New Found Gold Corp. is pleased to announce the positive results for a revised Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) and an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of our 100%-owned flagship Queensway Gold Project in Central Newfoundland. The revised PEA shows the project’s after-tax NPV 5% doubling to C$1.7B and the IRR increasing to 126%, with Phase 1 capital costs remaining in-line with the 2025 PEA at C$150M. In addition, the Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources increased by 38% (528Koz Au), in part due to the addition of the Dropkick Zone. We have only begun to evaluate the 110 km of strike extent along two major fault zones. With Queensway is poised for near-term production with a mill and tailings facility at Pine Cove, and detailed engineering for Phase 1 well-advanced, first mineralized material from Queensway is anticipated to be delivered to the expanded Pine Cove mill in Q4/27. Our CEO, Keith Boyle, spoke with Crux Investor following yesterday’s announcement of commercial production at the Hammerdown Gold Mine in central Newfoundland. In the first eight months of 2026, Hammerdown produced 9,140 ounces of gold, including 1,989 ounces in August. Keith also discussed the Company’s focus on operational optimization, including the new crushing and sorting circuit targeted for commissioning readiness in Q4 2026 and the conversion of the Pine Cove Mill to a higher-recovery Gravity-CIL circuit, expected to be completed in Q4 2027.
