A mom paid for Disney+ for 3 years.
Her family used it for one thing: pressing play on Frozen. Again.
For 3 years she had no idea that Frozen has a built-in Sing Along version with color-coded, timed karaoke lyrics on screen. That Moana has one too. And Encanto. And The Little Mermaid. And The Lion King. And Aladdin. And every Disney musical ever made.
She didn’t know the Extras tab exists with deleted scenes from Marvel movies, bloopers from Pixar films, director commentary on Star Wars, making-of documentaries, concept art galleries, and behind-the-scenes featurettes on hundreds of titles.
She didn’t know about IMAX Enhanced mode that adds 26% more picture on 15+ Marvel films. Or the Jungle Cruise Expedition Mode that shows fun facts during the movie. Or the multiple audio tracks that let her kids watch Moana in Spanish for language practice. Or the curated short film collections with Oscar-winning Pixar and Disney animation most subscribers have never scrolled to.
Her sister a Disney parks superfan who treats Disney+ like a treasure vault came over for movie night and said:
“You’ve been paying for Disney+ for 3 years and you’ve never tapped the Extras tab. You’ve never tried Sing Along mode. You’ve never watched a deleted scene. You’ve never seen the IMAX ratio on Avengers. You’re paying for the biggest content vault in streaming history and you’re using it as a Frozen delivery service.”
Here are 9 Disney+ features most subscribers have never tapped behind the same Play button they press every Friday night 🧵

WHEN YOU LEAVE A TOXIC JOB, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY IN YOUR EXIT INTERVIEW.
HR may tell you they want “honest feedback” to improve the workplace.
But here's what you need to understand:
An exit interview is not automatically a confidential conversation.
HR represents the company, not you.
Your feedback may be documented, shared internally, or used to assess workplace risks.
And if you criticize your manager, team, or working conditions, there may be consequences you didn't anticipate.
Here are 5 things to remember before your final day:

Your smart TV has been lying to you since the day you plugged it in.
Every TV ships in “Vivid” mode a picture preset designed to look eye-catching on a showroom floor under fluorescent lights next to 50 other TVs. The colors are cranked to unnatural saturation. The contrast is blown out. The brightness is maxed. And the motion smoothing is on creating the “soap opera effect” that makes every movie look like it was filmed on a home camcorder instead of a $200 million camera rig.
You’ve been watching every film, every show, every sporting event, and every YouTube video through a picture preset designed to win a 3-second glance in Best Buy. Not to look accurate. Not to look cinematic. Not to look the way the director intended. To look bright enough to catch a shopper’s eye from 30 feet away in a fluorescent-lit warehouse.
One setting change switching to Filmmaker Mode, Cinema, or Movie mode fixes every frame of everything you watch. The change takes 10 seconds.
A home theater installer who’s calibrated over 500 TVs in homes, studios, and commercial spaces told his friend something after seeing his living room TV for the first time that changed how his friend watched television permanently.
“Every TV I walk into is in showroom mode. Every single one. The owner spent $800, $1,200, sometimes $2,000 on a display and has been watching movies with fake colors, artificial contrast, and motion smoothing that makes cinema look like a soap opera for years. They think the TV looks great because it’s bright and vivid. It doesn’t look great. It looks wrong. The 10-second picture mode switch is the single biggest improvement available and it’s 1 of 11 settings most smart TV owners have never touched. The TV they bought has a Filmmaker Mode for accurate picture, Bluetooth for private headphone listening, HDMI-CEC for one-remote control of every device, free live TV channels they’ve never opened, a privacy setting that stops the TV from tracking everything they watch, and 6 other features they’ve been paying for and never using.”
He showed them 11 smart TV features that transform the screen from “showroom display I watch Netflix on” into the home theater system the manufacturer designed it to be.
Here’s every hidden smart TV feature most owners miss 🧵

Yale scientists just found a molecule in red meat that triggers your immune system's alarm.
And it's sold in almost every gym as a fat burner.
It's called L carnitine.
Your muscles are packed with it. Red meat is packed with it. And millions of people swallow it as a supplement to "burn fat."
The study was just published in Cell, one of the most respected journals in biology.
It started with a mystery.
When mice were hit with a severe, sepsis like inflammation, their blood levels of L carnitine crashed.
The researchers assumed the body was running low. So they gave it back.
The mice got sicker. More of them died.
The lead author put it simply: "We predicted giving carnitine back to these animals might improve their outcomes, but they actually did much worse."
The dose wasn't extreme. It was picked from clinical guidelines and from what a mouse would get eating a red meat diet.
So they followed the trail.
L carnitine slips into immune cells through a door called OCTN2.
Once inside, it flips on an alarm system called the pyrin inflammasome.
That alarm sets off a chain reaction. IL 1β. Then IL 17. Then a flood of inflammation.
When they blocked IL 17, the mice survived.
They found the same alarm firing in human immune cells.
In plain English:
Your immune system seems to read L carnitine as a sign of torn muscle. Like a body under attack.
So when you're already inflamed, more of it can pour fuel on the fire.
But here is the twist.
In healthy mice, L carnitine did nothing. No sickness. No inflammation. No deaths.
It only turned dangerous when the body was already on fire.
And for years, the main theory for why red meat is linked to heart disease blamed gut bacteria turning carnitine into a chemical called TMAO.
This study killed the gut bacteria. The damage happened anyway.
L carnitine itself was enough.
Red meat diets have been linked to heart disease, diabetes, bowel inflammation and cancer for decades. Nobody could explain the inflammation.
This might be part of the answer.
So the next time you're sick, run down, or inflamed…
Are you sure that "fat burner" is helping?
