Another impressive display from Vigs yesterday. Going down to 10 men is always going to be a struggle, but it does help having this man between the sticks.

Made an incredible double-save at 1-0 too…🙌
Back-to-back defeats on the road for the Swans, after a 2-1 defeat to Birmingham City. 😳

13’ Ross Stewart misses from the penalty spot.
27’ Marko Stamenic receives a red card.
Not a great 14 minutes in Birmingham for the Swans. 😳🦢

The Swans are on the road again.
We travel to the West Midlands to face Birmingham City at St Andrews.
The Blues are thriving, only losing twice so far in the league. We’re coming off the back of three losses in four games.
It’s still 3rd against 5th though, both with 26 points after 14 games.
Huge test. Let’s sort this form out…🖤🤍

Vitor Matos confirms Stephen Welsh’s injury isn’t as serious as first feared.
He will be assessed, but could even be in contention for this weekend.
Eom and Yeo are back in contention to play, but Widell and Eustaquio are both ruled out.

Great to hear Welshy’s injury isn’t too serious. 🦢🙌

Next up, we face Birmingham City.
There are 20 players we could find who have played for both Swansea City and Birmingham City in their careers.
This includes super John Cornforth and Jason Bowen who both lifted the Autoglass Trophy for the Swans at Wembley in 1994 against Huddersfield.
Andy Legg features too, a massive fan favourite with an unbelievably long throw. Also, Martin Thomas, who is fondly remembered for scoring the winning goal against West Ham knocking them out of the FA Cup in 1999, a huge upset at the time.
Scott Sinclair also had a stint at The Blues prior to joining us on loan in 2010, and scoring that hat-trick to get us promoted.
Always forget Montero played for them too…😅
Here’s the list in full:
🏴 Scott Sinclair
🏴 John Cornforth
🇪🇨 Jefferson Montero
🏴 Andy Legg
🏴 Jason Bowen
🏴 Martin Thomas
🏴 Steve Jenkins
🏴 Kyle Bartley
🏴 Liam Walsh

Who is your favourite here? Have we missed any? 🤔⬇️
FT: Pompey 3-1 Swans
Late heartbreak at Fratton Park.
After a bad first-half and Pompey getting away with a blatant second yellow, the Swans equalised through Zan Vipotnik late in the second half.
However, Terry Devlin scored against the run of play in injury time to steal the points. And to make it worse, at the time of writing, we’ve just gone 3-1 down.
Conceding twice in added time…🤦♂️
Absolutely gutted.

Before we hopefully see another masterclass tonight, we must talk about Jay Fulton’s performance at the weekend.
His passing stats were superb with 94% accuracy and one key pass. Although, the stats don’t do him justice.
The line-breaking passes, little flicks round the corners, one-touch triangles like he’s Xavi and Iniesta combined.
He can dictate the play and control the game so effortlessly, like we’ve seen many times already this season.
Jay has played under FOURTEEN different managers at the club including interims, and he’s been trusted by every single one of them. That tells you everything itself.
Debate online whether he’s a club legend or not yet…For us he is already.
Ageing like the finest of wines…🍷
📉🤣
Sam Clucas. A name we never want to hear.
Unless we are taking the piss out of his career downfall since celebrating like he’s Lionel Messi against us.
January 2020 - We lose 2-0 to Stoke away and Clucas runs the pitch to celebrate in front of our supporters making money gestures.
August 2021 - Clucas scores against us at home and runs to the East Stand to hold his shirt up showing his name to the Jack Army in that corner.
2020/21 - Underperforms. Scores twice in 26 matches.
2021/22 - Underperforms. Scores 3 times in 27 matches.
2022/23 - Zero goals in 14 appearances. Lost his place in the squad and released at the end of the season.
2023/24 - Signs for Rotherham. Scores once in 33 appearances for the Millers and is released AGAIN.
2024/25 - He ended up at Oldham in the National League. 9 games, zero goals and 5 yellow cards later he’s shipped off. Lincoln City take a gamble on him. 10 games, 1 goal and then released AGAIN.
2025/26 - Clucas signs for Shrewsbury Town in League Two hoping to revive his career. He actually improved this time by scoring TWO goals, but, in 40 matches. Left out of the managers plans and released AGAIN.
2026/27 - Without a club. Today he’s been rumoured to be in talks with Worthing Town of the National League.
Who had the last laugh Sam?
Some downfall. 🤣🦢
