This morning, I joined colleagues at Village SoHo to highlight Budget 2026 and investments in non-market and supportive housing. Federal support led to the completion of almost 700 homes at Village SoHo. The project is a model for how non-market housing can improve rent affordability. It was built through government, non-profit, private and philanthropic partnerships. We need more of this in London and Canada. That’s why the budget provides funding to triple the number of non-market housing starts to 24,000 per year. The budget also delivers historic support to combat homelessness by bringing housing, health care, mental health and addictions treatment, and other social services together under a supportive housing model. The goal is to see the construction of 25,000 units. #ldnont pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releas…

Gord Hume helped change London for the better. I recently took an opportunity to recognize his leadership in the House of Commons. He left behind an incredible legacy. #ldnont

An important commitment from Budget 2026 for communities across the country, London included. Partnership will provide the path forward but this is a signal that the federal government is serious about the task ahead. #ldnont
In Budget 2026, we’re laying out a path to end homelessness within the next decade — backed by nearly $30 billion to bring help, housing, and health care together. Because in Canada, we take care of each other.

As former President and CEO of Desjardins, Guy Cormier brings exceptional economic and social leadership. He’s ready to build a stronger future for Laurier—Sainte-Marie, Québec, and Canada, with Mark Carney and our Liberal team.

Joy O’Donnell has served her community and she wants to take that experience and bring it to Parliament Hill. A great candidate for the riding.
For over 30 years, Joy O’Donnell has worked and volunteered to strengthen her community. Now, she’s ready to bring that commitment to Parliament with Mark Carney’s Liberal team. We’re excited to welcome Joy as our candidate in Brantford—Brant South!

A proud day for all Greeks and Canadians of Greek heritage. Their example will never be forgotten. Ζήτω η Ελλάδα. Ζήτω ο Καναδάς.
Eighty-six years ago today, at a defining moment in the Second World War, the Greek people stood against fascism. They chose resistance over surrender, making extraordinary sacrifices in defence of freedom. On Όχι Day, I join the Greek community in Canada and around the world in honouring the legacy of those who stood up for liberty.

Congratulations to Mayor Morgan and all councillors who were elected or re-elected yesterday night. I look forward to working with all of you on behalf of our community. As I shared with the Mayor this morning, the comments he made in his speech about partnership are critical. Nothing happens without it. Our city needs all levels of government and its representatives working together. #ldnont

All of Canada stands with the loved ones of the victims and those who were injured. Their contributions to our country will not be forgotten.
CFB Wainwright is where the women and men of our Armed Forces train to defend Canada. To serve Canada. Now Canada serves them.

Irene Mathyssen was a profoundly important voice for our community. She spoke up for those who had been forgotten and ignored and always approached her work with kindness, humility and dedication. This was a true public servant. My deepest sympathies to her family and close friends. #ldnont cbc.ca/news/canada/london/ir…

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. I’m especially thankful for moments like these - our little girl turned five a few days ago and we celebrated with a trip to the Grand Theatre where local youth performed School of Rock. We loved it! Enjoy the day with family and friends. #ldnont

A transformational day for our city and region. Starting in 2027, Porter Airlines will be offering domestic flights with a direct connection from London to Vancouver, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax. I was pleased to work alongside the airport’s leadership to ensure greater connectivity for local residents. Thank you, especially, to CEO Scott McFadzean, board chair Michelle Campbell and the entire board and Porter leadership for coming together to make this happen. #ldnont

It was an honour to attend the dedication of the Byron Springbank Veterans Monument yesterday. The monument recognizes Canadian Veterans who served and made the ultimate sacrifice in the Boer War, World War One, World War Two, Korea, Afghanistan and Peacekeepers. Congratulations to the organizing committee for everything they have achieved for the community. Lest We Forget.

I was pleased to announce today that Fanshawe College has been awarded a federal contract to provide aviation maintenance training at Canadian Forces Base Borden. Congratulations to everyone at Fanshawe. When we invest in the Canadian Armed Forces, we invest in people and the communities they’re a part of. #ldnont @DavidMcGuinty
