As a moderator for the Panel 7: “Investing in the Next Generation: Women MPs and Youth” at the Women Parliamentary Conference 2026, together with the Honorable speakers I allude the need for more investment in young women ans young people in leadershio to participate in decision-making and influence public policy, we unlock new perspectives, strengthen institutions and create more inclusive pathways to peace and sustainable development.
We must move beyond recognising their potential to creating meaningful opportunities through mentorship, leadership development, access to resources and genuine participation in decision-making spaces.

I met @shadya_kitenge at the Women Parliamentary Conference 2026 and she passed me the MIC 🎤
I shared my message? We need more than conversations about women’s leadership, we need deliberate action to ensure women are present, represented and actively participating at the highest levels of decision-making.
Because representation should not stop at the door of leadership; women must also be part of shaping the decisions that affect their lives.
