coinbase teasing a big announcement today
imo they will discontinue their perps platform
and relaunch it using hyperliquid builder codes
this is the obvious correct path for them - they should focus on being a brokerage business
their 'expertise' is distribution + the client relationship
the aqav2 deal btwn crcl / coinbase and hyperliquid made me sure this would happen eventually

I agree that the real alpha in crypto is order flow
Got into market making to understand order flow better and the more I dug into it, the more I realized flow is one of the deepest edges in crypto.
What hooked me: market makers are the ones who actually capture the most, because the edge works in any market state. Dead market, bull run, doesn't matter there's always work to do.
With directional trading, there are phases where the market just gets boring and because crypto is so correlated, when it's quiet, basically everything is quiet at once. With MM, the orders never stop.
That's why I want this to become my main income.

I used to filter OB by spread width for my MM bot
Completely wrong
Small spread + real flow > wide spread + no flow
High volume means nothing if it's wash traded you can't capture it
Took me a while to figure that out
