Congratulations to @smokiesbaseball on winning the Driving Diversity Champion Award at this week’s @MiLB Business Summit for Knox Giants Night! In partnership with the @TheBeckCenter, Giants Night honored the original Knoxville Giants, founding members and the first champions of the Negro Southern League, who played in East Knoxville from 1920 to 1932.
The event also raised over $1,700 through its game-worn jersey auction to support the Center’s work preserving Knoxville’s Black history. Excited to see this celebration of Knoxville’s heritage recognized on the national stage! 🏆⚾️

Big day in Memphis and an even bigger investment in Tennessee's future!
Today, we broke ground on the new $350 million College of Medicine Interdisciplinary Building at UT Health Sciences. This is about more than a new building. It's about training more doctors and health care professionals, creating opportunities for students and helping meet the health care needs of Tennesseans across our state.
Grateful to Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee General Assembly for making this historic investment possible. What we're building in Memphis will make a difference in communities across the entire state of Tennessee for generations to come!
