The former Environment Minister, late Murtala Mohammed was a bookworm and an avid reader, and anyone who has ever had an interaction with him, will attest to this, considering his sharp intellect and vast knowledge.

And secondly, he honored our end of year dinner night later in December. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, and the National Democratic Congress and also to the families of the seven other people involved.

As we celebrate our nine years of using books to push the community agenda of restructuring, re-engineering and rewiring the minds of the youth, may we never waver in our resolve. May we never cower nor tire.

Let’s remember the words of George R.R. Martin that “ a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies” and hold firm to the words of Kwame Nkrumah that “ we must completely eradicate illiteracy from our midst.” To more years of success and impact. Happy anniversary to us.
