Okay, so here's the thing.
If you didn't read Bad Blood or the early WSJ reporting about Holmes (which I did, obsessively, because I am obsessed with scammers) you had a completely different experience of this movie.
You *cannot* have engaged with that media, and then
I loved You Can See Everything. But if your takeaway is sympathy for Holmes, please read Bad Blood by @JohnCarreyrou

A little more than halfway into it. So far, so great.

RIP Donal Lunny, giant of Irish music. There are a million incredible bands and records he has been part of. Two slightly deeper cuts that I would highlight are two masterpieces with his brilliant production: Connachtman's Rambles by Mairtin O'Connor, and In Full Spate by Paddy Glackin

A huge loss to Irish music.

The one of his I go back to the most often. Having been very into Aaron Copland's music for long helps and the cover of Madonna's "Live To Tell" is simply brilliant.

personally I think it's okay that Nathan didn't pad out every moment of incredulity with like, details from whistleblowers. it's fine that he treats the case as already litigated -- bc it WAS! she was sentenced! he's filming her on the way to prison!
YCSE is a great film, shades of Vertigo and Passion of Joan of Arc, and I loved the slow Morton Feldman vibe mixed w dark humor. But it is essential to pair it with more straight ahead reporting like Bad Blood @JohnCarreyrou because in the film, Holmes’ crimes are downplayed in order to heighten ambiguity and tension
i’m confused why anyone is saying there’s a “twist”in You Can See Everything… if you’ve seen any of nathan’s past work it’s literally the most logical sequence of events for the movie to take. people kept saying there was a TWIST and i was waiting for it the whole film

Amid the cinephiles' lofty debates about truth and art, it's worth listening to @TylerShultz_'s take on the film and on Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Holmes is “almost unrecognizable” in Nathan Fielder’s documentary, “You Can See Everything,” to Theranos whistleblower Tyler Shultz: “The woman that I saw on screen looked, frankly, like a broken woman.”
Shultz tells @gayleking and @norahodonnell about his reaction to the film, speaking out about Theranos in 2015 and why the documentary is garnering sympathy for Holmes, who is serving a more than 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors: “She is not playing victim. She is an actual victim.”
