Police in San Jose are investigating a fatal traffic collision at 11:40pm Tuesday at King Road and Havana Drive involving three pedestrians that resulted in the death of an infant. The driver of the Tahoe remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A 65-year-old female bicyclist was killed Tuesday when a tree branch fell on her in Roop Road northof Leavesley Road in Gilroy, the California Highway Patrol said. Emergency crews treated her at the scene, but she later died at the hospital. Her identity was not released.
San Jose police said today they are still searching for a suspect in a Saturday evening shooting at approximately 8:50pm in downtown San Jose near E. Williams and S. 10th streets that left a teenager fatally injured, and an adult hospitalized. Identities were not released.

Two homicides: San Jose police today arrested Amanueal Germay, 42, around 8am after finding his mother stabbed to death in the 200 block of South 14th Street. On Sunday about 4am officers found a shooting victim who died at the scene, in the 400 block of Queens Lane.
San Jose police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman this morning in the area of South 14th and East San Carlos streets, after responding to a call at 7:55am. Police did not identify the woman or provide any details about the cause of death.
A San Martin man prohibited from having firearms was arrested Friday at his home after sheriff's deputies seized three assault-style rifles, a semi-automatic handgun and 1,500 rounds of ammunition. Russell L. Charling, 41, was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

A man who was shot Wednesday afternoon in San Jose's Sherman Oaks neighborhood has died from his injuries, police said. The shooting was reported about 3:20pm in the 2000 block of Beatrice Court and the victim died shortly after 9pm.
