Other than the apparent rail road avoidance downtown, the service feels really good in Houston
Reasonable wait times, big service area, and significantly better driving than my recent Waymo rides
Encountered emergency vehicles, police directed traffic, bad drivers, and all handled flawlessly
I don’t want to trivialize the routing issue though, it has to be solved before service can be useful and scale here. I worry people trying the service will be turned off if they experience this
NEWS: The Nevada Transportation Authority has issued @Uber subsidiary Aviari Services, LLC its Autonomous Vehicle Network Company permit, dated October 22, 2026.
The permit allows Uber to connect passengers with fully autonomous vehicles for paid rides in Nevada. It caps Aviari at 1,000 fully autonomous vehicles in total during the first 12 months.
Operations are limited to the area approved in the NTA's September 22 Compliance Order, and any geofence change needs written notice to the NTA first.
Uber joins Zoox, Tesla, and Waymo with an AVNC in Nevada.

Yes there is one. If you look at the map I believe the rocket is pointing in direction to where the Terrafab is going to be build in Grimes county.
Directionally, the nose of the rocket points roughly that way.
Coincidence? Unmm maybe not.
I checked Tesla’s Houston geofence image for hidden messages using brightness/contrast adjustments, RGB channels, color differences, low-order pixel bits, OCR & JPEG metadata.
No hidden message found just map details and the Roadster graphic near Sugar Land.

I just had a guy come up to me at the car wash while I was vacuuming out my car and ask me what I thought about my Tesla. I told him it’s the only car I will ever drive, and what he said after that is what surprised me the most.
He said that he has been using Robotaxi over the past few weeks here in Dallas with friends and is now considering purchasing a Tesla for himself after experiencing self driving in the @Robotaxi. This is a real world example of how Robotaxi is actually selling Teslas with every ride that it gives.
Buckle up. The word is spreading, and this is just the beginning…
