I found a typo that was preventing the preview cards on my weblog from being fetched and displayed by social media sites. I'm glad I found it, but frustrated that I missed it the first time. Deploying the fix will have to wait until I'm not on unreliable/slow airport Wi-Fi.
The next Technology Short Take is here! Have a look and find some weekend reading.

I just can't seem to get ahead. I fixed the 3rd function diverter valve on my tractor, but now my Gator won't start. Ugh.
My gate opener motor failed recently. I spoke w/ the manufacturer (Mighty Mule); they said, "We're not going to replace your motor because you bought it (not installed it) more than 12 months ago." No exceptions, no desire to work w/ me.

Go ahead, $CURRENT_BANK. Keep f'ing around with customer service and you'll find out what it takes to lose a customer of 15 years.
OMG, the new IBM product names for the former Hashicorp products are to die for.
I mean, who doesn’t love a name like “IBM Nomad Self-managed Premium Resource Value Unit Flexible Subscription License”? 🤣😆😂
Hey @PulumiCorp, here’s your chance to beat the competition—all you need to do is make your product names easier to remember and understand! 😆

Me: A large black coffee please.
“Barista”: Cream?
Me: No thanks. Just a large black coffee.
B: What size?

As Orwell wrote in 1984. “And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth”
It’s been a while since I posted an update on the new house. We’re very nearly done! Here’s a quick sneak peek at our front door. (Don’t mind the dirt, it’s actually been power-washed since this picture was taken.)
